The Arkansas Golfweek Amateur Tour moved west to Alma and cooler temperatures prevailed in our penultimate tournament of the year. Tour Finals are coming up at Hot Springs Country Club in two weeks.

Alex Hoffman (74) earned a 3-stroke victory in the Champ Flight over Ken Guinn(77).

In another 3-stroke victory, Landon Green(72) took home first place in the A Flight over Gary Whitt(75). Rounding out the paid places in the A flight were Corey Jarman and Kevin Dunham with identical 77s. Corey won the card playoff to take third.

The B flight was a little closer with Ken Holeyfield (80) earning a 1-stroke victory over Rodney Painter (81).

The C flight saw recently promoted Jay Williams earn the victory with an 85. Second place with an 87 was Gina Goodhue. Four players tied at 88. Phil Hemba, Davis Spragg, Luke Lewis and Justin Gaddy. Phil Hemba took third with the cardoff.

The D Flight was a closely fought affair with Bobby Williams(91)  earning a one shot victory over Leisa Watkins and Jerry Crabtree (92). Leisa took home second with the cardoff. Richard McMahan (94) took fourth place.

Our final event of the year is in two weeks at the Hot Springs Country Club. This is always a fun event with lunch served afterwards. Watch your emails later this year with information about the Senior tour for 2023.
