Thanks to everyone who came to Branson to play in the Champion AutoLift Open in Branson, Missouri. We had a great great turnout and some exciting golf. Temperatures were hot and some scores were hot, too.
In the Champ Flight, Ben Starsky (Arkansas) earned a 6 shot victory over Justin Ballentyne (Kansas). Ben shot 78-73 (151). Justin shot 79-78 (157). Finishing 3rd was Josh Semeniuk with 75-85 (160).
The A Flight was a little more exciting with 3 players tied for 1st with 157 (14 over) for the tournament. Kevin Dunham (Arkansas) (76-81) out lasted George Tudor (Chicago) (78-79) and Lee Valez (Arkansas) (3rd) (76-81). Rounding out the paid places in the A flight was Arkansas Tour Director, Jerry Homishak (82-78:160).
There was a little less drama in the B Flight as James Colgrove (Arkansas) posted a 6 shot victory over Greg Prewett (Arkansas). James shot 76-83:159 and Greg shot 86-79:165. Other paid places in the B Flight included 3rd place, Alex Hoffman (Arkansas-83-84:167); 4th place Kirby Rogers (Arkansas-80-88:168) and 5th place, Tracy Hanback (Kansas 78-91:169).
C flight was a back and forth battle with Rob Luter (Arkansas 85-84:169) eventually taking first place over Jeremy Sellman (Kansas 80-90:170). Rounding out the other paid places was 3rd place finisher, Phil Smith (Arkansas 82-89:171), 4th place, Reagan Clem (Arkanas 83-90:173) and Bob Gates (Kansas 89-91:180).
The playoff drama picked up again in the D Flight with Mike Ballard (Arkansas 85-97:182) going head-to-head with Nathan Simler (Kansas 92-90:182) for 2 extra holes. Mike Ballard survived the playoff with Nathan coming in 2nd. Loren Clemons (Arkansas 92-93:184) finished 3rd and Richard McMahan (Arkansas 94-93:187) finished 4th.
