Contributed by Sean Naylor

The Atlanta and Upstate Tours came together on Saturday for The Legends at Chateau Elan event.

A 3-over-par performance gave Matt Bernstein the victory in the Championship Flight. He made two birdies and 12 pars. Steven Clippard took second (82) while Tyler Norris and Derek Foulke finished in a two-way tie for third (84).

Scott Ide, visiting us from the Charlotte tour, made two birdies on Saturday but the most important came on the 16th hole where it gave him the one-stroke advantage. That lead, 66-67, over Tysen Sarkela held and he took the 74-75 win in the A Flight. Greg McCoy, also from the Charlotte tour, rounded out the top-3 with a 79.

Charles Mathis earned the one-stroke win, 85-86, over Lewis Davis in the B Flight. Mathis and Davis both had a birdie on the day. JG Hill took third (87) while Josh Calhoun carded an 89 for fourth.

Merle Sauvola held a nice cushion heading into the back nine of the C Flight. His cushion extended and he found himself with the victory (88). JR Darius and Michael Moore finished in a two-way tie for second (93) while Derwin Owens placed fourth, 94.
