Results

The second half of the Indianapolis Tour season got underway at Plum Creek Golf Club on a hot and humid day.  We had 3 new members play this weekend and two of them won their respective flights.

‘A’ Flight-

Timbergate winner, Ryan Taylor, and new member Jason Farling went head-to-head.  It was similar to a heavy weight fight for the first 11 holes.  Taylor kept taking body shots from Farling as he posted 4 birdies on the front 9, but Taylor only trailed by two.  Following the eleventh hole Taylor continued to land effective jabs, by cutting the lead to one with seven holes to play.  Farling landed an upper cut with his fifth birdie of the day on the twelfth hole and the knockout blow came on fifteen when he carded his sixth birdie of the day.  The final tally was 77 to 82 in favor of Farling, resulting in another first time player to win an event and posting the low tournament score of the year.

‘B’ Flight-

Point’s leader, TJ Schwarz had his hands full with two new members today.  Schwarz started the day off with a birdie on the first, but was unable to sustain that play the remainder of the day.  Chris Nold had a steady front 9 with five pars and a four shot lead.  Ben Harting cut Nold’s lead to one shot thru 11 holes.  Nold stayed steady on the back 9 as well carding 6 pars and a score of 81.  Harting made Nold continue his consistent play as he posted a back 9 score of 39, which was the lowest of the day.  Nold also is a new member and first time winner.

‘C’ Flight-

Jim Allen continued his winning ways with a score of 90.

‘D’ Flight

Mick Hoover of the Chicago Tour joined us this weekend and found his way into the winner’s circle with a score of 104.
