Shoal Creek

Another great tournament in the books! Thank you to Shoal Creek Golf course for accommodating us. Course is always a challenge with the narrow fairways and native grass that will swallow a ball! Thank you to the players! A lot of you drove through heavy storms only 10 minutes to the south of the course but the golf gods were looking down on us, as we got nothing at the course and were able to play without hesitation!

In the Championship flight, Jake Englebrake fired a 37 on the front and a bogie free and birdie littered 31 on the back side for a round of 68 to take the win.

In the A flight, we had a playoff with Alan Joyal and RJ Trumbly both carding solid 79's for the day. RJ hadn't three putted all day, but the playoff hole got him and the win went to Alan Joyal with a par on the first playoff hole.

In the B flight, it was neck and neck coming down the back 9 with Troy Altenburg, Logan Burks, and Lowell Westfall trading strokes! Troy came out in front with a great round of 80, followed by Logan's 81 and Lowell's 82.

In the C flight, Ryan Sloop and Rofique Miller were within a stroke at the turn, but a couple stumbles on the back for Rofique, and Ryan staying steady insured him the victory with a round of 88.

In the D flight, it was a close call coming to 17 with two of the hardest holes remaining and Blaine Mathews already in the clubhouse with a 92. Any big stumble and David DeCamp might have given it up, but he stayed steady on 17 and 18 and ended up winning with a solid 88.

Congrats to all of our winners, and we'll see you next Sunday at Tiffany Greens!
