2017 Season Kick Off

After a 2016 season filled with some changes and a new director officially on board for the 2017 season, we are looking forward to best year yet! We will be splitting our events between the Kansas City and Wichita areas this year, as well as a combination tournament with the St. Louis tour at Old Kinderhook at Lake of the Ozarks.  We have 6 events booked for Kansas City and 6 for Wichita already, and may add 1-2 more events.

Our season opener this year will be March 25th-26th at Quail Ridge GC in Winfield, KS.  The course was in immaculate shape last year and proved to be a fun challenge with the high kansas grass that made the course narrow, yet playable.  We will be working out a room deal with the Super 8 next to the course as well for Saturday night stays.

Finally, congratulations to the 2016 Season Flight winners!  We look to keep expanding this year and adding to the competition and giving all of us amateurs a chance to experience a fun, challenging, and competitive tournament experience we crave! Not to mention the great friendships that get forged all thanks this sport we love, and often hate, called GOLF!

Championship flight winner Larry Langley was a newcomer this season, and was moved from A to Championship flight fairly quickly and took home the season victory.  He joined us for Nationals in Hilton Head and was playing well, but might have had too much fun on Saturday night that hindered his Sunday performance!

A flight winner Jake Englebrake, who has also taken over as tour director, took home 7 trophies last season as well as the season long victory.  If only he could putt bermuda greens, he might have had some success in Hilton Head!

B flight winnner Rodney Walker just ousted Troy Altenburg at the last event of the season to take home the win! Rodney had some impressive events this year, and hopefully can continue that this coming season.

C flight winner David Johnston battled through some injuries, eventually having surgery after the season on his hand, to take home the season long victory along with a couple tournament victories in 2016.

D flight winner Torri Rush had an impressive performance at the season finale at Crestview Country Club, sinking a putt from across the parking lot it seemed to take home the trophy and also win our handicap game which got his tournament fee to nationals paid for!

Let's all work to make 2017 as fun as it can be!
