2015 National Championship TV Show

The members of the Orlando Golfweek Amateur Tour enjoyed a weekend at LPGA International for the final major of the year.  Day One was played on the Jones course.  It was a hot summer day but there were good scores fired in the first round.  Chad Frank and Jacob Richard posted 1-under par 71's to lead Jeff Moritz by a single stroke.  Sam Bellamy built a four stroke lead in A flight with a 76.

Day 2 was played on the Hills course.  It played longer and tougher than the Jones course.  But with the greens in perfect condition there were still good scores our there and some close finishes in all flights.   The Championship flight finished in a three way tie with Chad Frank, Jeff Moritz and Jacob Richard.  All three ended up with 2-day totals of 149.  The playoff lasted four holes with Jacob coming out on top as Frank was eliminated on the second hole and then Richard topped Moritz on the fourth extra hole.  In A flight, Eric Kellough shot steady rounds of 77-78 and overtook Sam Bellamy (76-80) to win.  Mark Farrow posted a second day 75 to move into a tie with Bellamy for second.

Justin Carroll earned a promotion from C flight to B flight and Andy Baker moved up to senior A flight.  Congratulations to both on their fine play.
