EAGLE CREEK

MENYHART WINS AGAIN; PIAZA, BOWMAN POST LOW ROUNDS IN A & C FLIGHTS; BAKER WINS SrB PLAYOFF

Bryan Bowman Shoots 80; Wins C Flight

Our morning tee times in the summer continue to help us avoid the normal afternoon showers.  The last groups were coming off the course just as the clouds were forming at Eagle Creek.  Eagle Creek was in fine shape for our event as we were able to play the ball down this week.

Championship Flight:   Garrett Morrison returned to the tour for the first time since 2012.  He wasted little time reminding everyone that he is still a top player.  He put up a five under 68 (Eagle Creek plays to a par of 73) to take a two stroke win over Brian King who shot 70 to finish second.  John Ward, Mike Menyhart, and John Bessette posted 2-under par 71's to tie for third.   Even par finihsed out of the money this week.

A Flight:  Alex Piaza led the way as he posted his best score of the year by shooting 75.  David Parker came in with 76 to grab second place.  Donald Dunivant finished on 77 and thrid. Gary Martinet won the scorecard playoff with three others who all shot 78 to to finish tied fourth.

Alex Piaza Wins A Flight With 75

B Flight:  Dave Dimauro shot a terrific 75 for the victory. It was only two strokes back to  Andy Baker in second place.  Chuck Jaqueth shot 80 to finish third.   Rob Lattig and first year member Neville Millerl shot 81 to tie for fourth.

C Flight:  Bryan Bowman shot a breakout round of 80.  He finished three strokes in front of Dan Salik (83).  Kevin Kennett and Sam Mellor both shot 86 and finished 3rd.

Dave Dimauro's 75 Tops B Flight

D Flight:  Rich Williams cruised to a three stroke win with 93.  Ken Lawrence was second with 96. Rich took over first place in the D flight points race.

Senior Championship flight:Mike Menyhart continued his excellent play with another sub-par round.  He tied John Ward, each with 2-under 71's.  It took two extra holes but Mike prevailed for his second straight senior victory and third of the year.  The win pushed him to first place in the points standings.

Andy Baker Took Senior B Flight in Playoff with Dave Dymond

Senior A Flight:  Bob Casemento took top honors in Senior A with a 74.  He was two better than David Parker (76).

Senior B Flight:, Once again Dave Dymond and Andy Baker needed a playoff to decide the top spot.  Each posted 77.   Dave won over Andy at St. Cloud last time, but Andy was the winner this week. Arnie Guerra was third with 83.

NEXT EVENT:  July 26, Waldorf Astoria Golf Club, Orlando, FL.
