To all Golfweek Amateur Tour Members,

On behalf of the entire Golfweek organization, I want to thank you for your membership of the Golfweek Amateur Tour.  We are incredibly proud of our relationship with what we feel is the best option for organized amateur competition for folks like you and me.

I am writing to inform you of some changes to our magazine frequency and format for 2021. Our plan is to publish four issues in 2021 including our annual Golfweek’s Best in April and Ultimate Guide in December. In addition to these two issues, we will publish a new issue called Get Equipped in February that will highlight everything new in the game for 2021 including equipment, gear, places to visit and more. The second new issue is titled Golf Life in July and will feature in-depth stories and interviews with the movers, shakers and personalities that drive the business and sport of golf. We are excited about the new schedule and plan to bring the same style of expert, in-depth journalism that you expect from Golfweek..

I hope that you also enjoying www.golfweek.usatoday.com as well as our weekly digital newsletter products including: Monday Rewind, Get Equipped, Get Primed, Golf Life and Get Better. You can sign up for these here.

"NEW LOOK" FOR TRIAD AND RALEIGH/PINEHURST GOLFWEEK TOURS

Some new and exciting changes are in store for the Triad and Raleigh/Pinehurst Golfweek (Senior) Amateur Golf Tours for 2015. A new Tour name and some special new venues are on-tap for the coming year.

As all Tour "veterans" are aware, in the past the Triad and Raleigh/Pinehurst Tour schedules have been identical. Beginning on the 2015 schedule, the two tours will be merged to form a newly named Tour: The Central Carolina Tour. By taking this step we will avoid any confusion as to where you may have finished overall in a certain event because all competitors will be listed together for each tournament on the website. While this will result in having only one Points Standings listing, the prize pool and everything else will remain the same.

To avoid confusion both the Triad and Raleigh/Pinehurst Tours will remain on the "Select a Tour" spot on the website's front page until after the regular seasonstarts. That way returning members who are not aware of the merger and name change will still be able to sign-up for membership or events the way they always have. Once the seasonstarts all players will be directed to go to the "Central Carolina" page.

As we have done every year, we will extend a $10 discount for early membership payment prior to January 15. The normal membership fee for 2015 is $95.00 (Sr - $90), with the discount it will be $85.00 (Sr - $80).

I'm very pleased to announce two new totally private venues that will be on the 2015 schedule: Willow Creek Country Club in High Point and Pinewild (Holly Course) Country Club in Pinehurst. In addition, we will welcome back a few courses we didn't visit last year: Grandover Resort (East Course), The Neuse, Salem Glen, and Longleaf Golf Club.

Well that's about it for the new information. Dust off those clubs, put some gloves on, hit a few practice shots and get ready to start the 2015 season. We'll once again have two Pre-Season Events: January 31 at The Legacy and February 28 at Longleaf, both in the Pinehurst area. Hope to see you there.

"NEW NAME - NEW FORMAT" FOR TRIAD AND
RALEIGH/PINEHURST GOLFWEEK TOURS

THE CENTRAL CAROLINA TOUR

Some new and
exciting changes are in store for the Triad and Raleigh/Pinehurst
Golfweek Amateur Golf Tours for 2015. A new Tour name and some special
new venues are on-tap for the coming year.

As all Tour
"veterans" are aware, in the past the Triad and
Raleigh/Pinehurst Tour schedules have been identical.

Beginning on the
2015 schedule, the two tours will be merged to form a newly named Tour:
The Central Carolina Tour.

By taking this step
we will avoid any confusion as to where you may have finished overall in
a certain event because all competitors will be listed together for each
tournament on the website. While this will result in having only one
Points Standings listing, the prize pool and everything else will remain
the same.

To avoid confusion
both the Triad and Raleigh/Pinehurst Tours will remain on the
"Select a Tour" spot on the website's front page until after
the regular seasonstarts. That way returning members who are not aware of
the merger and name change will still be able to sign-up for membership
or events the way they always have. Once the season starts all players
will be directed to go to the "Central Carolina" page.

As we have done
every year, we will extend a $10 discount for early membership payment
prior to January 15. The normal membership fee for 2015 is $95.00, with
the discount it will be $85.00.

I'm very pleased to
announce two new totally private venues that will be on the 2015
schedule: Willow Creek Country Club in High Point and Pinewild (Holly
Course) Country Club in Pinehurst. In addition, we will welcome back a
few courses we didn't visit last year: Grandover Resort (East Course),
The Neuse, Salem Glen, and Longleaf Golf Club.

Well that's about it
for the new information. Dust off those clubs, put some gloves on, hit a
few practice shots and get ready to start the 2015 season.

We'll once again
have two Pre-Season Events: January 31 at The Legacy and February 28 at
Longleaf, both in the Pinehurst area. Hope to see you there.

Golfweek Amateur Golf Tour

The Central Carolina Tour

Once again, we've
got a great line-up of premium courses scheduled and look forward to
another year of fun competition with these top-draw venues.

We'll kick the
season off with our annual visit to The Legacy Golf Links in Aberdeen on
Saturday, January 31. This is a pre-season event to which I invite both
the Golfweek and Senior Tours. Because of that mix, no points will be
awarded, but the prize pool is generally one of the largest of the
season.

Legacy Golf
Course:      2015 Pre-Season #1
      January 31, 2015

Historically this
event sells out, so if you have interest in playing, I'm taking entries
now for roster spots. Just email me or call me to let me know if you want
to play.

If you can't make
that event, or if you want to wait a few weeks for "warmer"
temperatures, a second pre-season event will be held at The Golf Club at
Longleaf on Saturday, February 28. This event also has a history of
filling up, so one again, give me an early "heads-up" if you
want to play at Longleaf.

Longleaf Country
Club:     2015 Pre-Season #2
   February 28, 2015

The regular season
will start March 7 at Bermuda Run.  Points, prizes, and your Tour "goodies"
that you purchased with your membership will be distributed at that
event.

Early season events
always produce a good field and this year should be no exception.

REMINDER - EARLY SIGN-UP DISCOUNT

As I have done for
the last few years, I am extending an Early Sign-Up Discount to any
member who would like to sign-up for the season prior to January 15. The
normal membership dues are $95.00, if you pay by the date noted, I will
offer a $10.00 discount, resulting in an $85.00 annual membership fee.

No problem if you
prefer to wait until your first event, at which time the membership cost
will be the normal annual fee of $95.00 - your call.

Part of the annual
membership, in addition to the "goodies" received last season,
will be entry into the USGA Handicap System.

We look forward to
another very successful year with excellent courses (many of them
private) and first rate competition.

As always,to
register and to sign-up to play or if you have any questions, or need any
assistance, please call me at 336-495-6556, or email me at
behgolf@aol.com.
