Club House at The Jeremy Golf and Country Club

Worth the Wait: The Jeremy Golf and Country Club

Twenty two players, including three guests, enjoyed the Jeremy Golf and Country Club on a late summer afternoon.  The weather could not have been more perfect with the warm sun and a touch of fall in the cool air and the long evening shadows.  The country club had graciously rescheduled our tournament from the original date in early June because of significant winter freeze damage.  It was well worth the wait.  The course was in prime condition, particularly after the greens had been rolled in the morning for our event.  The course played tough and yielded fairly high scores across the flights, with the exception of a few break out scores put up by some of the winners.  Birdies were forthcoming with thirteen logged throughout the field and nine skins paid out.  The pace at the country club was tight.  Club members are expected to play within about 4 hours, and the ranger, doing his job well, pushed us to follow suit.  The experience at the country club was punctuated with many sightings of fox hunting at the edges of the course and a mother and baby moose next to the 18th green as our first players finished.
