As a Golfweek Amateur Tour Member, you will receive membership into a -USGA compliant club through USHandicap.com and issued an official USGA index.

Within 60 days of joining the tour and filling out the 2018 registration, each member will receive an email from USHandicap with instructions on how to sign into your account. You will not be able to access your Silver membership until you receive the confirmation email. Nothing will be mailed, everything will be done via email address.

Thanksgiving Point Tournament; Nine Down and One to Go for the 2012 Season

Twenty-seven players including one new member, three guests, and one member from the Denver tour competed on the Johnny Miller designed course in the hot afternoon sun.   Thirteen players took home prizes that included 1st place trophies, $570 of gift certificates, and $235 cash prize pools for the "Closest to the Pin" game and the "Skins" game. 

 

Tournament Details:

  • In the Championship Flight:   Jesse Smith earned a solid eleven-stroke victory scoring three birdies and a 79.  Joe Sternberg, a visiting member from the Denver tour, was second at 90.  New member Troy Novak was third at 92.
  • In the A Flight:  Rod Whitlock grabbed his third win of the season from the stacked field with two birdies and a 78.  Guest George Mann won the second place prize with a79 and two skins for his birdies on holes eleven and twelve.  Bruce Critchely was third at 80 with two birdies.
  • In the B Flight:  Ben Lambert took the trophy for the second time this season shooting 87 from the blue tees.
  • In the C Flight:  Gary Ingram won his first event of the season with a four-stroke lead at 92, two birdies, and a closest to the pin win on hole fifteen.  Jason Tannerfinished second at 96.  Roland Segura finished with one birdie and a tie with Scott Wilson for third place at 98. 
  • In the D Flight:  Roger Keally bested the packed flight with a solid four-stroke lead to win his fourth tournament of the season at 97.  Jason Curtis won the second place prize at 101.  Neal Harris finished a close third at 102 with a skin for his birdie on hole eighteen.
  • Skins Winners:  Neal HarrisGeorge Mann (two holes)
  • Closest to the Pin Winners:  Scott WoodWayne Kelley,Gary IngramRaul Delatorre
