The 2019 St. Louis season continued its season at Florissant Golf Club. Thick rough and a tight layout presented a challenge for most golfers. It was a great day as the St. Louis members continued accumulating points towards the St. Louis Cup all while earning a spot on the Midwest Am Cup team to be played at TPC Deere Run at the end of the season.
Champ Flight
JD Sabio took home his second tour victory of the season shooting 76. His round was highlighted by 3 birdies on #1, #7 and #8. Sabio will look to make it three in a row at Spencer T Olin.
A Flight
It was quite the day for Brent Holmes as he played out of his mind and posted what might be the round of the year. 3 Birdies, 1 bogey and pars the rest of the way en route to a blitz of the A flight. Holmes play earned him a promotion for future events. Second place went to Timmy Hill while Casey Samuels finished third.
B Flight
Another tight finish this week in the B Flight. This time Kenny Reilly notched his first tour victory, earning a 1 shot victory. Reilly's round was highlighted by a birdie #7 and that proved to be the difference. David Watson, Stonewolf GC Champion carded 3 birdies himself, but couldn't overcome his slow start. Al Delamarter took 3rd place.
C Flight
It was a tightly contested 2 player battle in the C Flight as Kyle Witherbee and Brad Reynolds separated themselves from the field down the stretch. Witherbee built a 2 shot lead on the 15th tee. Reynolds found some trouble on 16 to give some breathing room for Witherbee to earn his first tour victory. Nathan Simler from the Kansas tour took 3rd place carding a 92.
D Flight
After coming so close last tournament, Charlie Bieser breaks through to the champions circle with his first tour victory. Bieser shot 94 to win by 4 shots over Linda Bozada, who took second on a scorecard playoff over Sudhakar Injamuri; both shot 98.
