Spencer T Olin Tournament Recap

The St.Louis Golfweek Amateur Tour continued the 2019 campaign, this time rolling through Spencer T Olin. Spencer T is always a tour favorite, and this event had a special purpose as all the proceeds were donated to St. Baldricks to benefit kids with cancer! The members had a great time and enjoyed playing for a great cause helping raise over $2,500k!!

In the Champ Flight, Dan Silva earned his first tour victory of the season as he shot an even par 71 to win by 5 shots! Tour rookie, Lenny Urbas, took second place in his season debut. It was a great start for Urbas, but her ran into some starting on the back nine and couldn’t recover. Corey Lohnes took home third place. JD Sabio is currently claiming the top spot in the St. Louis Cup standings.

In the A Flight, Mac McMillan earned his 4th tour victory of the season. It was his second victory on the St. Louis tour since moving to the area in April. McMillan edged out Dan Kohnle by 1 shot, shooting 38-41-79. Kohlne shot 42-38-80 for second place honors, while Bryan Thomas took third shooting 42-39-81. McMillan’s victory put him in the top spot of the St. Louis Cup, but plenty of players are within striking distance.

In the B Flight, Kyle Fuehne put together two solid nines to squeeze out a 2 shot victory, his first on tour! Fuehne’s day was highlighted with a birdie on #9. Randy Campbell, Tim Faulkner, Scott Riley and Chad Campbell all shot 82 to enter in to a scorecard playoff. Campbell took home second, while Faulkner took third, and all four will split the St. Louis Cup points! Kenny Reilly leads the way in the St. Louis Cup, but Fuehne’s victory puts him on his tails.

In the C Flight, Brad Reynolds has been knocking on the door for his first tour victory, this time he was able to walk through the door with a 4-shot victory over the 14 player field! Reynolds was consistent shooting 42-40-82 with 2 birdies (#8 & #17) en route to victory. Jason Quillman took second place shooting 44-42-86, while JJ Williams took third carding 44-43-87.
