2020 Aberdeen Golf Club Results

Nathan McCutcheon had a stellar round, shooting 1-under par (71) for the win in the Championship Flight. He made three birdies and 13 pars on the day. Mike Flynn was right behind McCutcheon, carding a 1-over-par (73) for second. He made four birdies and nine pars on the round. Marco Tallerico, who recorded five birdies on the front nine, rounded out the top-3 with a 6-over-par (78). 

 

Tim Mayer shot an even-par (72) to capture the A Flight win. He made three birdies and 12 pars on the round. Chad Henry and “Hot Dog” Dan Kohnle finished in a two-way tie for second with 2-over-par (74) performances while Harry Oms edged Mark Lohrding for fourth, 80-81. After the round, Dan Kohnle was promoted to the Champ Flight – way to go!

 

David Watson used a strong front nine to take the win in the B Flight. Watson held a four-stroke lead, 37-41, over Kenton McWilliams heading into the back nine and made shots needed down the stretch for the 80-81 victory. Three players tied for third (83): Christian BenavidesKyle Fuehne and Steve Grass

 

Play came down to the wire in the C Flight between Mark Brouk and Michael Konuch. The two were tied at 79 entering the final hole. Brouk made a birdie, taking the victory with a score of 82 — a stroke ahead of Konuch, who made an eagle earlier in the round. Adam Meeks and Mike Scalera tied for third (84) while Zachary Brda placed fifth with an 85. Be sure to congratulate Mark Brouk on his promotion to the B Flight next time you see him!

 

Jason Harvey edged Kameron Thomas, 88-89, to take the top spot in the D Flight. Mark Kohnle placed third (92) while Colin Dooley carded a 97, good for fourth. Mary Ann McLaughlin rounded out the top-5 with a 100. 


Special mention goes out to those players that placed in the Branson event hosted by Arkansas! Dan Kohnle took home the first-place trophy in the A Flight with a two-day score of 152 (73-79). B Flight players David Watson finished second (80-86-166) and Kenton McWilliams tied for third with a combined score of 157. Michael Konuch came in second in the C Flight (86-87-173) and Mark Brouk tied for fourth with a 174. Colin Dooley rounded out the winners by finishing in third place in the D Flight with a two-day total of 183 (92-91).
