Robby Steen took the top spot in the Championship Flight with a 6-over-par (78). He made two birdies and 10 pars on the round. Mike Flynn edged Dan “Hot Dog” Kohnle, 83-84, for second.
Harry Oms trailed Chad Henry by two strokes heading into the back nine. That deficit extended to five on Hole No. 10, but Oms battled back, cutting Henry’s lead to four on the 11th hole and then to one stroke a hole later. Oms tied up the score on Hole No. 15 and took a two-stroke lead on the 16th. He held that advantage, finishing the round with a 7-over-par (79) and the A Flight win. Henry placed second with an 81while Daren Green, of the Eastern NC Tour, rounded out the top-3 with an 84.
Ross Richardson shot a 38 on the front and back for a total card of 4-over-par (76) and the B Flight victory. Mark Brouk, who made three birdies, placed second with a 79 while JC Coleman and David Watson finished in a two-way tie for third (81). Watson made an eagle on the second hole of his round.
Michael Konuch earned the C Flight win Saturday with a card of 82. Tyler Cardwell edged Sudhakar Injamuri 85-86 for second while two players tied for fourth (87): JJ Williams and Scott Nishimura.
Michael Pittroff captured the D Flight win with a 91. Mark Kohnle edged Colin Dooley by one stroke, 95-96, for second while Linda Bozada placed fourth (103).
