Tony DeCaro earned the win the Championship Flight. DeCaro turned it up a notch on Sunday. He shot a six-over-par on the final 18 holes, which resulted in a weekend total of 160.
Corey Ferger held a two-stroke lead over Kyle Pulone after 18 holes. Pulone used five pars and a birdie in the front nine on Sunday to take the lead, an advantage of three strokes. Ferger got close on the back but Pulone made the shots necessary to earn the 167-169 victory in the A Flight. Bob Santee, of the Upstate tour, placed third (172).
Deon Cook came away with the win in the B Flight with a score of 173. Al Sheppard and Ted Archer finished in a two-way tie for second (178). JG Hill carded a 181, good for fourth.
Michael Moore and Dwight Villafane had strong performances. The two battled back and forth throughout the weekend. After 18 holes, Moore held a two-stroke lead. That lead dwindled fast as Villafane made a par on the opening hole and a birdie on the second. Though Moore capitalized on the back, eventually paring the 18th to clinch the win, 168-170. JR Darius and Derek Gilley finished in a tie for third as each carded a 184.
Donald Price finished two strokes ahead of Chris Coleman in the D Flight. Price created a nice cushion for himself after the opening round – a 10-stroke cushion over Coleman, to be exact. But Coleman worked his way back as both men were even heading into the final three holes. Price then made a par on the 16th hole and bogeys on the remaining two for the 194-196 win. Jerry West placed third (197).
