Scott Davis opened up tournament season
play with a win in the Championship Flight. He pulled away from Eric Buchalter on the back for a final card of 81. Davis made one birdie
and nine pars on the round. Buchalter placed second with an 85 while Greg Newberry rounded out the top-3
with an even 90.

A Flight saw a two-hole playoff won by Mike
Lovett Saturday. He edged out Tim O’Connor– the two entered the playoff knotted up at 91. Lovett trailed O’Connor by six
strokes heading into the back. O’Connor’s advantage grew to eight strokes entering
No. 12 but Lovett made the shots he needed to down the stretch, tying O’Connor
on the 18th hole.
Deon Cook earned the win the B Flight.
He recorded two birdies and six pars for a card of 85. Mitch Quarles, of the Augusta tour, and Garrett Gerstung finished in a two-way tie for second with scores
of 89. Al Sheppard placed fourth
with a 90.
Jarrett Keyes came out atop the C
Flight on Saturday. He carded an 84, making one birdie and five pars on the
round. Joe Brown finished second
(87) while Demetrius Minor rounded
of the top-3 with an 89.
Competition
was tight in the D Flight but Steve
Burruss took home the victory. He finished two strokes ahead of Will Allen, 97-99, for first. Burruss
tallied five birdies on the round. The next four spots – which included one tie
– were separated by just one stroke. Gregory
Reynolds edged out Chris Colemanfor third, 100-101, while Donald Priceplaced fifth (102), beating both Christopher
Webb and Randy Ross, who both
knotted a card of 103.
