To all Golfweek Amateur Tour Members,

On behalf of the entire Golfweek organization, I want to thank you for your membership of the Golfweek Amateur Tour.  We are incredibly proud of our relationship with what we feel is the best option for organized amateur competition for folks like you and me.

I am writing to inform you of some changes to our magazine frequency and format for 2021. Our plan is to publish four issues in 2021 including our annual Golfweek’s Best in April and Ultimate Guide in December. In addition to these two issues, we will publish a new issue called Get Equipped in February that will highlight everything new in the game for 2021 including equipment, gear, places to visit and more. The second new issue is titled Golf Life in July and will feature in-depth stories and interviews with the movers, shakers and personalities that drive the business and sport of golf. We are excited about the new schedule and plan to bring the same style of expert, in-depth journalism that you expect from Golfweek..

I hope that you also enjoying www.golfweek.usatoday.com as well as our weekly digital newsletter products including: Monday Rewind, Get Equipped, Get Primed, Golf Life and Get Better. You can sign up for these here.

Thank you to all players who participated this past Sunday at Losantiville Country Club! The challenging course conditions demanded you bring your "A" game, as players battled the tough terrain of one of the most demanding golf courses in Ohio. $2,813 Total Prize Pool

Championship flight is our first flight of the day. Matt Sander continued his hot start all the way to the eighteenth hole on Sunday. Sander, who knocked in a pair of birdies, shot a 72 in what is now consecutive wins in the last two events.

Deontey Kenner finished second, shooting a respectable 74. Deontey was able to drop three birdies on the day, putting himself in position to win. Ultimately coming up two shots back for the championship, but nevertheless, a solid day for the former University of Cincinnati Bearcat Quarterback.

Both Dustin Fields and Andrew Stanifer carded respectable 75's, both scoring multiple birdies to finish tied third, just three shots back on the day.

A flight is second. Mike Bales was the only player able to break 80 coming in to the championship on Sunday, shooting 79. Mike was able to card two birdies on the day as well, putting him in position to hold off Alex Smith and Kevin Dick, to clinch the championship by four shots.

Alex Smith, who finished second in a scorecard playoff, shot 83 with a pair of birdies, rolling in a clutch 20 foot downhill putt for birdie on the 18th hole to finish second.

Kevin Dick shot 83 as well, also able to roll in a pair of birdies, finishing a respectable third. Continuing a solid start to the year for the season's points leader.

B flight is our third group of the day. Matthew Sato led the field, shooting 85 and dropping a birdie as well. Sato, who was able to hold off Tyler Foley (85) in a scorecard playoff, separating himself from what was a tight leader board and capturing the championship coming down the stretch.

Foley finished second in the B flight, scoring one birdie, keeping himself at the top of the leader board for most of the day.

Jimmy Hansel, Bill Butts, and Mike Cronin finished tied for third, all shooting 87, wrapping up the top 3 performers in the B flight at Losantiville Country Club. All three players were able to drop one birdie on the day, solidifying their spot in the top three.

C flight is next. Cameron McKinley was able to hold off a surging field, posting (+22) and capturing the title. A couple of clutch par saves was able to keep McKinley in the top spot at the end of the day, holding off Stan Ley and Butch Novak (+24) to win by two shots.

Stan Ley was able to card a respectable (+24), placing second over Novak in a scorecard playoff. Ley, who was atop the leader board throughout the day, ultimately came up two strokes short, nullifying his chance in the end.

Wrapping up third place in a tight leader board was Butch Novak. Novak was able to finish with a solid (+24) as well, locking his spot in the top three for the tour's third tournament of the season.

D flight is the final group of the day. Steven Shoemaker (+19) was able to raise the trophy in the end with two clutch birdies, defeating David Hall by two shots. Shoemaker was able to persevere, capturing the title in the end.

David Hall (+21) finished second. David was in contention until the end. Ultimately, finishing two shots back despite a solid performance.

Jeremy Richardson (+23) finished third, rounding out the top three for the "D" flight at Losantiville.

Thank you to all players who came out and contributed to an awesome day at a great course, continuing the chase to Hilton Head!
