2018 Waverly Woods Recap
Franklin "Shaggy" Brown (D Flight) takes home the trophy in his first win of 2018.

Competition was tight in the Championship Flight. Scott Kennedy used a 1-over-par round for the top spot (73) and his first win since being promoted to the Championship Flight. Aaron Grocholski followed closely behind with a 75 – recording six birdies. Tony Bostic rounded out the top-three with an 80. 

In the A Flight, David Pongrace edged out James Beresh by one stroke, 76-77. Both men made a birdie. Adam Trader finished third with a card of 80. Congratulations David for the win and for moving up to the Championship Flight!

One stroke was the difference in the B Flight. Fredy Carreon, who made one birdie, carded an 83 for his first win of the season while Steve Ogletree finished second with an 84. Julian Baniwas placed third (86) while James Woodard took fourth with an 87.

Cephas Franklin and Manny Gomes forced a playoff in the C Flight. Franklin used a par on the 18th to tie the score at 87 and then won the playoff for his second win in 2018. Milton Tyrrell finished third (88) while Jim Jobson placed fourth (91). 

Shaggy Brown earned the top spot in the D Flight (95) and took home the trophy for the first time this season. Charles Leggett edged out Michael Misiaszek by one stroke, 97-98, for second.
