2020 Lake Presidential Results

Lake Presidential had it all: close play in every flight, two playoffs, new members taking home trophies, and back-to-back winners from DC Metro’s previous event.
The first back-to-back event winner was Chris Lamb, in the Championship Flight. Lamb made one birdie and 10 pars Saturday and edged Dylan Crane by one stroke, 79-80. Two weekends ago, Lamb captured the win in a two-day event at Rock Harbor. Michael Flis rounded out the top-3 with an 83.
Tim Robinson was victorious over Alex Sams in a two-hole playoff in the A Flight. The two were knotted up at 41 heading into the back nine. Sams took a four-stroke lead on the 11th until he and Robinson tied up again four holes later. Robinson went up one on the next hole, but the score evened out a third time after Sams’ par on hole No. 17. They finished the round tied up at 82. Adam Trader and David Pongrace finished in a two-way tie for third (83) while Brandon Adamski carded an 84, good for fifth.
Robert Hoback edged Dru Tucker 85-86 for the B Flight win. Hoback made 10 pars on the round, including ones on 17 and 18 which sealed the deal. Julian Baniwas placed third (87) while Steve Jones finished a stroke behind for fourth.
The C Flight winner was also determined via a two-hole playoff, the second of the event. JD Word came away with the win over Esdras Garcia. The two were tied at 89 heading into the playoff. Steve Eureste placed third (90) while Monty Batra finished fourth with a score of 92.
The second back-to-back winner was D Flight’s Zachary Shugart, who earned the win Saturday after shooting a 93. He took home the victory at Rock Harbor two weeks prior. Back to Lake Presidential: Pandolla Hicks placed second with a 96 while two players tied for third: Shawn Doyle and Ben Harrison.
