The tournament and Fuzzy Zoeller's Timbergate Golf Course was outstanding.  The weather was great and the course was in superb condition.

The 'A' flight had a new face in the line-up as Ryan Taylor was able to make his first appearance at an event this year.  Taylor did not hesitate to get off to a quick start by posting a 39 on the front 9.  Heading into the final 9 holes, Taylor had a three shot lead over Kentucky Tour player, Dave Mitchell, and four shot lead over Indy points leader Nathan Allen.  Taylor seemed to be running away with the tournament with a six shot lead with four holes remaining, but that is when Mitchell made his move.  On the par 5, 16th Mitchell chipped in for an Eagle cutting the lead to just two shots.  Mitchell had a birdie putt on the 18th hole that lipped out and sealed the one shot victory for Taylor.  Taylor not only won his first event he played in but he also posted the first round in the 70's this year on the Indianapolis Tour.

The 'B' flight continues to be dominated by solid play from TJ Schwartz.  Schwartz had a very steady front 9, allowing him to have a comfortable lead over Nick Criscoe of the Kentucky Tour.  Schwartz's day was highlighted with a birdie on the par 4 7th.

'C' Flight had two players making their first appearance of the year on tour as well.  Again, a first time player got off to a fast start.  Tony Witt raced out to a 2-shot lead over Jim Allen through 9-holes.  Witt continued his steady play on the back 9 by posting 44's on each nine for a total of 88.  Witt's 88 lead him to the victory over Allen.

Darrell Davis once again found his way into the winner's circle with a solid round of 96.  Davis also recorded his first birdie of the year on tour.  Davis had other chances for birdie on the day, but the 4th  hole was the only hole to surrender a birdie to Davis on this day.

Thank you to the Timbergate staff for a great day at the course.  Head Golf Professional Kurt Balser, made us feel right at home for the day.  We look forward to returning to Timbergate for an event in the future.  Next event, on the Indy Tour is at Plum Creek on July 16.
