As a Golfweek Amateur Tour Member, you will receive membership into a -USGA compliant club through and issued an official USGA index.

Within 60 days of joining the tour and filling out the 2019 registration, each member will receive an email from USHandicap with instructions on how to sign into your account. You will not be able to access your Silver membership until you receive the confirmation email. Nothing will be mailed, everything will be done via email address.

Perfect weather for the Salt Lake City tour's inaugural event at Winpointe GC.

Inaugural Event at Wingpointe a Success

The brand new Salt Lake City tour opened its inaugural 2012 season with a successful 24-player event under blue skies.  The players enjoyed Wingpointe Golf Course in great conditions. Nine players took home prizes.  The prizes included 1st place trophies for each flight, $500 worth of Edwin Watts/Uinta Golf gift certificates for 1st and 2nd places, $100 in cash prizes for the closest to the pin game, and $85 in cash prizes for the skins game.  Also, each participant received a special thank you gift of a logo'd magnetic hat clip ball marker for playing in the inaugural tour event. Congratulations to the winners!

  • In the Championship flight, Joe Jack’s 79 was the only score to break 80 securing the win in the tour’s season-opener.
  • In the A flight, Raul Delatorre opened the round optimistically with a birdie on the first hole.  Scott Wood and John Bryer were tied going into eighteen, and Scott Wood bogied the hole for the win with an 84.  Raul Delatorre and John Bryer tied for second at 86.
  • In the B flight, Martin Cole edged into first place winning by one stroke with an 81.  Rod Whitlock was second at 82.  Otto Blum was third at 84.
  • In the C flight, Mike Salazar shot 81 with four birdies to earn first place and a promotion to the B flight after the round.  Jason Tanner was second at 86.  Ricky Roberts was third at 95.
  • In the D flight, Rich Olofson had two birdies to make an impressive showing with an 88 finishing first with the only score in the flight to break 90, as well as two “Closest to the Pin Game” wins and one “Skins Game” win.  Roger Keally was second at 95.  Jim Murphy was third at 102.
  • Skins Game Winners: Raul Delatorre, Mike Salazar, Rod Whitlock, Roger Keally, Rich Olofson
  • Closest to the Pins Game Winners:  Jay Dejesus, Rich Olofson (2 holes), Jim Murphy
