To all Golfweek Amateur Tour Members,

On behalf of the entire Golfweek organization, I want to thank you for your membership of the Golfweek Amateur Tour.  We are incredibly proud of our relationship with what we feel is the best option for organized amateur competition for folks like you and me.

I am writing to inform you of some changes to our magazine frequency and format for 2021. Our plan is to publish four issues in 2021 including our annual Golfweek’s Best in April and Ultimate Guide in December. In addition to these two issues, we will publish a new issue called Get Equipped in February that will highlight everything new in the game for 2021 including equipment, gear, places to visit and more. The second new issue is titled Golf Life in July and will feature in-depth stories and interviews with the movers, shakers and personalities that drive the business and sport of golf. We are excited about the new schedule and plan to bring the same style of expert, in-depth journalism that you expect from Golfweek..

I hope that you also enjoying www.golfweek.usatoday.com as well as our weekly digital newsletter products including: Monday Rewind, Get Equipped, Get Primed, Golf Life and Get Better. You can sign up for these here.

Beech Creek Results 06-24-23

Beech Creek Results

Thank you everyone for playing Beech Creek last weekend! This was a very small event but we had great weather for the golf. Besides everything being really wet, the course was in good shape. Long rough and wet conditions made conditions tough!

If you have signed up and cannot play, please let me know IMMEDIATELY. Golf courses need to know how many players to expect days before the event so that we can keep good relationships with them. Taking up Saturday tee times that we don't fill is not a good look. Also if you are paying cash, let me know as well.

We had a field of 19:

A Flight, Al Meggett shot 82 for a three shot win over Paul Sanderson.

B Flight, Jason Courtney birdied the tough-putting #16 and hung on the last two holes for a one shot win over Brannon Simmons and Stan Wetmore with an 86.

C Flight, William Beck ran away with a 92 and won by 7 shots.

D Flight, Tommy Stokes had a great round of 91 and took the win by 9 shots over three players at 100.

A Special Shoutout from the Fripp Island Regional

Congratulations to Columbia member David Dodgen!

David shot 78-79-157 for a wire to wire win and punched his card to the National Championship!
