As a Golfweek Amateur Tour Member, you will receive membership into a -USGA compliant club through USHandicap.com and issued an official USGA index.

Within 60 days of joining the tour and filling out the 2018 registration, each member will receive an email from USHandicap with instructions on how to sign into your account. You will not be able to access your Silver membership until you receive the confirmation email. Nothing will be mailed, everything will be done via email address.

Augusta Golfweek Amateur Tour

2018 Price of Membership Reduced!!!!

The 2018 Augusta Golfweek Amateur Tour has 4 events left.  Since the 2018 season is more than half over, the price of membership has been reduced to $60.  It's not too late to join the tour, compete at some great courses, and qualify for the GWAT National Championship to be held in Hilton Head, SC the 3rd week in October.  For additional information, contact tour director Phil Robinson at 706-414-1170 or e-mail Phil at augusta@amateurgolftour.net.

Next Augusta Amateur Tour Event

The next tournament will be at Jones Creek Golf Club in Evans, GA on Saturday, August 11th at 10:00 am.  Cost for the event is $85 and may be paid on line or at the course. If you are interested in playing competitive golf with people of your same skill level, if you are intersted in making some new golfing buddies, and if you would like to play some great courses in Georgia and South Carolina, consider joining the Augusta Golfweek Amateur Tour.  For additional information, contact tour director Phil Robinson at 706-414-1170 or e-mail Phil at augusta@amateurgolftour.net.

Waynesboro CC Tournament Results

The Augusta Golfweek Amateur Tour took to the links at Waynesboro Country Club in Waynesboro, GA on Saturday, July 28th.  The competition was fierce and some good scores were shot in all flights that led to some flight promotions.  Here are the results.

Champ Flight:  In the Champ Flight, tour veteran Ryan McCook shot 74 (3 birdies) for a 1 shot victory over flight points leader Jordan Salley who shot 75 (2 birdies) for 2nd.  Tour veteran Ben Barrs shot 76 (3 birdies) for 3rd.

A Flight: In the A Flight, points leader Chet "I'm the man" Dye took 1st place with a solid 73 (4 birdies).  2nd place went to 1st year tour player Josh Chamineak with 75 (2 birdies).  Beloved tour veteran Rick Hopper shot a fine 76 (3 birdies) for 3rd place.

B Blight: In the B Flight, Steven Sapp shot an excellent 79 (1 birdie) for 1st place and earned a promotion to the A Flight.  Congradulations Steven!!!  Young Ryan Willis, of Greenbrier High School, shot his best score of the year, 81 (1 birdie) and tied for 2nd place with tour veteran Paul Grandy, 81 (2 biridies).  Jimmy Mobley, Norman Picker, and Dominio Strom all shot 83 and tied for 4th.

C Flight:  C Flight points leader Scott Wilson shot an excellent 79 with a whopping 4 birdies, took 1st place, and earned a promotion to the B Flight.  Congradulations Scott!!!  Kenny McMillian, the new C Flight points leader, shot a solid 82 for 2nd place.  Dean Maruca, Wendell McCook, and Jason Page all shot 87 and tied for 3rd.

D Flight:  Jimmy Rivers shot his best round of the year, 91, and got his first win of the year.  Great playing Jimmy!!!  David "the Dude" Schmidt shot 93 for 2nd place.  New Augusta Tour player Kenny Atterton finished 3 strokes back with 94 for 3rd.
