As a Golfweek Amateur Tour Member, you will receive membership into a -USGA compliant club through and issued an official USGA index.

Within 45 days of joining the tour and filling out the 2017 registration, each member will receive an email from USHandicap with instructions on how to sign into your account. You will not be able to access your Silver membership until you receive the confirmation email. Nothing will be mailed, everything will be done via email address.

The Augusta Golfweek Amateur Tour Is In Full Swing!

 The 2017 Augusta Golfweek Amateur Tour schedule is set.  So far we have had 2 tournaments with good turnout in all flights for each event.  Price of membership for 2017 is $100   Payment can be made by sending a check to Phil Robinson (2424 Ruby Drive, Augusta, GA 30906), by paying Phil in cash at a tournament, or by credit card on the website.  Click on "Pay by Credit Card" on the Augusta Golfweek Amateur Tour website to pay by credit card.  Also, don't forget to register for the 2017 season by clicking on the same website link.

Don Varble Gets His 2nd D Flight Win in a Row!!!

The 2nd tournament of the 2017 Augusta GWAT season took place at Applewood Golf Course on Saturday, March 18th.  If you were a new player, welcome to the Augusta Golfweek Amateur Tour. We hope you enjoyed your experience and hope to continue to see you at are our future tournaments.  Here are the results.

Champ Flight:  Tour veteran and retired U.S. Marine Steve Kubik shot a smooth 74 (4 birdies) for 1st.  Ryan McCook took 2nd with 76 (2 birdies).  David Hogan was 3rd with 81.  Steve also won lots of birdie money.  

A Flight:  Tour newcomer Jeff Ramsbotham shot 80 and took 1st place.  2nd place went to Chet Dye with 80 (4 birdies).  OnCore ball representative Chris Skinner shot 89 for 3rd place.  

B Flight:  Tour veteran Brian Williams, fresh off of heart surgery, got back to his winning ways and shot 79 for a one stroke victory over Kipp Neikirk who shot 80 for 2nd. Robert Hegler was 3rd with 81 (1 birdie). 

C Flight: In the hotly contested C flight Robert "Kenny" McMillian took 1st place with 91.  2nd place went to beloved tour veteran Wendell McCook with 94.  3rd place went to Julian Reville (our resident veterinrian) who shot 99 along with tour newcomer Brett Honeycutt who also shot 99.

D Flight:  Tour veteran Don Varble went "back to back" and took 1st with 95 after a 1 hole playoff with last year's D flight points winner David Schmidt.  David Schmidt tried to talk "smack" during the playoff but it didn't work.  Tour newcomer David Bammer took 3rd with 98.

The next Augusta Amateur Tour tournament is the Cushman Open on Saturday, April 15th at 10:00 am at Rocky Branch Golf Club in Lincolnton, GA. The tournament fee is $70 and may be paid on line at the Augusta Tour website or at the course by cash or check.
