Thank you to all players who participated this past Sunday at Clovernook Country Club. With a total prize pool of $3,198, the level of competition was high, resulting in some low scores throughout the day.

Championship flight was our first flight to tee off. Dustin Fields from the Cincinnati/Dayton Tour continued his hot streak from last season, ripping off a smooth 73 to capture yet another championship to add to the trophy case. Dustin carded four birdies and an eagle, putting himself into position to take home the win in a tight race at the top of the leaderboard. Brian Polick from the Cleveland/Akron Tour finished second, shooting a respectable 74. Brian carded three birdies on the day, putting himself in position to win. Ultimately coming up a little short for the championship, but nevertheless, a solid start to the year. Cincinnati/Dayton's Deontey Kinner carded a respectable 75, scoring two birdies to finish third. Putting himself in contention throughout the day, allowing him to finish just 2 shots back.

A flight tee'd off second. Cincinnati/Dayton's Kevin Dick was able to hold off a surging field to bring home the championship. Kevin was able to card an 80 with two birdies, solidifying the top spot and a solid performance for the beginning of the year. Alex Smith from the Cincinnati/Dayton Tour finished second, posting an 81. Alex was able to put some pressure on Kevin throughout the day, being in the same pairing, but ultimately came up one shot back to finish the day. John Clinard from the Cincinnati/Dayton Tour finished third. John also carded an 81, setting himself up to be in contention throughout the day, but finishing one shot back in the end.

B flight was our third group to tee off. Nathan Weidner from Cincinnati/Dayton led the field to bring home the tour's first championship of 2021. Nathan fired off an 80, and was able to score two clutch birdies on the day, holding off a tight leader board and capturing the championship. Cincinnati/Dayton's Mike Cronin finished second in the B flight. Scoring a birdie and shooting 81, Mike was able to card a solid performance for the first tournament of the year. Jimmy Hansel from the Cincinnati/Dayton Tour finished third with an 82, wrapping up the top 3 performers in the B flight at Clovernook.

C flight was next on the tee. Bob Parisi from Cincinnati/Dayton was able to go low, firing an 81 and adding a birdie to the mix, capturing the first title of the year. Cincinnati/Dayton's Ryan Cecil was able to knock in two birdies on the day, shooting a solid 86, placing second. Wrapping up third place in a tight leader board was Cincinnati/Dayton's Scott Grossarth. Scott was able to finish with a solid 88, locking in his spot in the top three to start the season.

D flight was the final group off on the day. James Muir from Cincinnati/Dayton was able to raise the trophy in the end with a pair of clutch birdies, separating himself from the field and finishing with an 84. Stan Ley from the Cincinnati/Dayton Tour finished second with a solid 87. Stan was in contention until the end, adding a birdie to his scorecard but ended up falling short by 3 shots. Kaleb Mason finished third, scoring a 90 and adding a birdie as well.
