Thank you to all players who participated this past Saturday for the Spring Classic at Elks Run Golf Club! It was a perfect day for some low scores with tight leader boards for most flights. A great venue for our 7th official tournament of the season.

Championship flight is our first flight of the day. Dustin Fields was our winner, Dustin was able to shoot 77 with solid pars most of the day, holding off both Phil Sheldon and Lance Sininger (78), winning the championship by one shot.

Sheldon finished second and Sininger third by way of the scorecard, both players knocking in a birdie on the day, putting themselves in position to win but coming up one shot back.

A flight is second. Tour Director Tyler Hutson captured his first win on the season, shooting 74 with a birdie. Hutson played brilliantly all day, positioning the ball in the right spots and making clutch putts, putting himself in position to hold off Rodney Donley (76) by two shots to clinch the championship.

Donley, who finished second, was able to contend to win, Rodney came up a hair short in the end but still a solid performance on the day, being able to consecutively position himself for most of the season atop the leader board.

Alex Smith shot 78, finishing a respectable third with one birdie, continuing his solid start to the season.

B flight witnessed Michael Anderson capture his second title in as many weeks, Anderson shot 81, holding off Bill Butts (82), separating himself from what was a tight leader board most of the day and capturing the championship by one shot.

Butts finished second, keeping himself at the top of the leader board for most of the day, scoring two birdies and putting himself in contention to win.

Michael Burch and Darryl Smith finished tied third, both shooting 83, wrapping up the top 3 performers in the B flight at Elks Run.

C flight is next. Mark Tyler caught fire, shooting 76 with three birdies, separating himself from the rest of the field by six shots and capturing his second title in as many tournaments in the last week, getting the promotion to A flight with solid play.

Steven Foster, who was atop the leader board throughout the day, finished second, ultimately could not catch Tyler, nullifying his chance in the end with an 82.

Ian Herzog was able to card a respectable (83), to finish third, locking his spot in the top three for the tour's seventh tournament of the season.

D flight is the final group of the day. Jeremy Richardson (84) was able to raise the trophy in the end, separating himself from the rest of the field in what was a tight leader board, winning by one stroke and capturing the title.

Shaun Kerns (85) finished second. Kerns was able to put himself at the top of the leader board throughout the day with a pair of birdies, ultimately finishing one shot back in the end despite a solid performance.

David Hall (85) finished third in a scorecard playoff, rounding out the top three for the "D" flight at Elks Run Golf Club.

Thank you to all players who came out and contributed to an awesome day at a great course, continuing the chase to Hilton Head!
