Thank you to all players who participated this past Saturday at Beavercreek Golf Club! It was a great day for some golf as players in each flight battled both the heat and the wind at times. There were some great scores posted at a challenging golf course that demanded shot execution all day. A great venue for our 9th official tournament of the season.

Championship flight is our first flight of the day. Dustin Fields added another trophy to the case as he was the winner over John Fryman by five strokes. Fields was able to shoot a one under par round of (71), with four birdies on the day, holding off Fryman (76), winning the championship in closing fashion.

Fryman finished second, unable to make any birdies on the day, putting himself in position to win but unable to catch Fields in the end. Nonetheless, a solid finish.

Matt Sander finished third with a (77). Sander was able to grab two birdies on the day, putting himself atop the leader board, however, unable to be in contention to win.

A flight is second. Joshua Davis captured his first win on the season, shooting (76) with one birdie. Davis played solid all day, making clutch putts and getting up and down when needed, holding off Kory Hemm (78) by two shots to clinch the championship.

Hemm, who finished second, was able to contend to win. Unable to drop any birdies on the day may have led to him coming up a hair short in the end. Still a solid performance on the day.

Tyler Hutson shot 79, finishing a respectable third. With three birdies on the day, Hutson continues his solid start to the season at the top of the points standings.

B flight witnessed Kenny Cobb capture the title in dramatic fashion. Winning in the third playoff hole over Ryan Millsaps. Both players shot (80), leading to the playoff, where Cobb was able to clinch the championship both players desperately wanted in golf's version of overtime.

Ken Sloan finished third, also shooting 80 and getting into the playoff. Sloan was eliminated on the first playoff hole, wrapping up the top 3 performers in the B flight at Beavercreek.

C flight is next. Chris Louth and Bob Parisi also dueled in a playoff, shooting (85's). Louth came out on top on the first playoff hole, clinching the championship with a solid performance all day.

Parisi, who finished the day atop the leader board, finished second, ultimately losing on the first playoff hole. Nevertheless, a solid performance.

Jeremy Richardson was able to card an (85) as well to finish atop the leader board, leaving early to get home to the wife, not thinking his (85) was good enough, missed the playoff but was able to lock his spot in the top three for the tour's 9th tournament of the season.

D flight is the final group of the day. Jose Taule (84) was able to raise the trophy in the end, separating himself from the rest of the field, winning by five shots and capturing the title. This makes Taule his second win in as many tournaments the last month.

Eric Combs (89) finished second. Combs was able to put himself at the top of the leader board throughout the day, ultimately coming up short for the second tournament in a row to Taule.

Shaun Kerns (90) finished third, rounding out the top three for the "D" flight at Beavercreek Golf Club.

Thank you to all players who came out and contributed to an awesome day at a great course, continuing the chase to Hilton Head!
