Thank you to all players who participated this past Saturday at Snow Hill Country Club! It was a tough day to compete as players waited out close to an hour rain delay. There were still some great scores posted at a challenging golf course that demanded shot execution all day. Players battled a wet course and tried to score on wet greens, adding to this already challenging venue. A great site hosting our 10th official tournament of the season.

Championship flight is our first flight of the day. Lance Sininger was able to hoist the trophy as he was the winner over Dustin Fields by one shot. Sininger was able to shoot a seven over par round of (77), with two birdies on the day, holding off Fields (78), winning the championship in closing fashion with a solid (38) on the back nine.

Fields finished second, only making one birdie on the day, putting himself in position to win but unable to catch Sininger in the end, with a bogey on 18. Nonetheless, a solid finish.

Nathan Boatman finished third with a (79). Boatman was able to grab two birdies on the back nine coming in. However, a tough front nine was enough for him to be unable to contend for the win.

A flight is second. Rodney Donley captured his first official win on the season, shooting (79), winning in a playoff on the first playoff hole over Phil Sheldon. Donley played solid most of the day scoring a (40) on the front nine and closing with a (39) on the back despite a hickup on 18, which led to the playoff. Donley was able to respond with resilience, however, knocking in a eight foot putt for birdie on the first playoff hole to clinch the championship. The win at Snow Hill also lock's his spot for the 2021 Ryder Cup later in the season.

Sheldon, who finished second, was able to contend to win. Matching Donley score for score on both nines was able to get him into the playoff. However, unable to match Donley's birdie in the playoff led to him coming up short in the end. Still a solid performance on the day.

Joshua Davis shot 80, finishing a respectable third. With two birdies on the day, including a clutch birdie on seventeen to tie for the lead. However, unable to find the green on his approach on eighteen led to being unable to make par, knocking him out of a chance at the playoff. Davis continues his solid middle half of the season though, placing himself in the top four of the season's points standings.

B flight witnessed Mike Cronin capture the title in closing fashion. Shooting a solid (37) coming in on the back nine, Cronin tapped into the short game magic of Seve Ballseteros, getting up and down all day to win the championship.

Kenny Cobb finished second, shooting (82). Cobb played consistent all day but was unable to make any birdies, leading to him finishing five shots back on the day.

Peter Detty finished third, shooting (83). Detty played consistent most of the day, however, two bad holes on the front nine coupled with no birdies on the back diminished his chances at catching Cronin. Nonetheless, a solid score on a tough day for golf.

C flight is next. Steven Foster was able to raise the trophy in the end, shooting (80). Foster came out on fire, shooting (39) on the front nine with a birdie on seven. He was bale to conclude with a solid (41) on the back nine, clinching the championship with a solid performance all day.

Dennis O'Connell finished second. Shooting (85). A rough start for O'Connell on the front nine, however, bouncing back with a (39) on the back nine ultimately led to a second place finish. Nevertheless, a solid performance.

Stephen Wagner was able to card an (88) to finish third. A rough back nine put Wagner out of contention to win but was able to lock his spot in the top three for the tour's 10th tournament of the season.

D flight is the final group of the day. Jose Taule (85) was able to raise the trophy for the third straight tournament in a row, separating himself from the rest of the field, winning by four shots and capturing the title. Taule can pretty much kiss D Flight goodbye with another dominating performance. Welcome to C Flight Jose!

Robert Wilson (89) finished second. Wilson was able to put himself at the top of the leader board on the front nine, however, a rough back nine ultimately led to him coming up short in the end. Still a solid performance.

Shaun Kerns (91) finished third. Kerns was able to put together some good shots coming in on the back nine with a (44) but a rough front nine knocked him out of contention to catch both Taule Wilson. Rounding out the top three for the "D" flight at Snow Hill Country Club.

Thank you to all players who came out and contributed to an awesome day at a great course, continuing the chase to Hilton Head!
