The 2022 Chamber’s Open comes to us from Blue Ash Golf Course, which was voted one of the top 75 public courses based on a Golf Digest poll.

The winner of the Champ Flight, Lance Sininger (Cincinnati Tour), fired an impressive one under par round of 71 which included four birdies to hold off Dustin Fields (Cincinnati Tour) who rode five birdies of his own shooting 72 to come in second. Matt Green (Cincinnati Tour) was third with a 77. Joe Goldschmidt (Cincinnati Tour) took fourth after a scorecard playoff over Brandon Marlowe (Cincinnati Tour) after both finished with rounds of 78.

The A Flight saw a battle for the victory all day with Steve Phillips (Columbus OH Tour) winning with an 83. Kory Hemm (Cincinnati Tour) extended his points lead after taking second in a scorecard playoff with Brian Pero (Cincinnati Tour) who both fired rounds of 84. Tour Director Tyler Hutson (Cincinnati Tour) was able to finish strong to take fourth after a four way scorecard playoff with tour newcomer Tony Grubb (Cincinnati Tour), Alex Smith (Cincinnati Tour), and Ed Thompson (Cincinnati Tour) who all shot rounds of 86.

In the B Flight Stephen Norlock (Cincinnati Tour) was able to hang on for the win with a round of 83. Kevin Loney (Cincinnati Tour) was one back in second with an 84. Points leader, Peter Detty (Cincinnati Tour), was third with an 85 and Michael Anderson was fourth with an 86.

Next up is the C Flight. Tanner Anderson (Cincinnati Tour) took home the win with an 85. Good job fighting through the tough conditions to secure the victory!  Robert Ward (Cincinnati Tour) and Dennis O’Connell (Cincinnati Tour) found themselves tied with rounds of 88. Ward was able to secure second after a scorecard playoff. Raymond Richardson (Cincinnati Tour) and Brad Jordan (Cincinnati Tour) also found themselves tied with rounds of 90. Richardson defeated Jordan for fourth after a scorecard playoff.

Our last flight of the day was the D Flight. Tour “nice guy” Don Hubbard (Cincinnati Tour) was able to overcome a “ruff” front nine, settling down on the back, to capture the victory with a round of 92. John Shoemaker (Cincinnati Tour) and David Donnelly (Cincinnati Tour) turned in matching scores of 94 with Shoemaker securing second place after a scorecard playoff. Matt Nero (Cleveland/Akron Tour) was fourth with a 97.

We want to thank everyone, especially Brian Lane, for their patience on an unusually slow day. You never know what you’re going to get at a public course. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s participation in making the Cincinnati/Dayton Tour what it is today. Without you, we wouldn’t be here! See you all this Sunday at Shaker Run Golf Club.
