Rules & Things:

The Isle of Capri Regional Major is in June, and there are a few things you will need to know:

1)  If you decide to drop out or not show up for the tournament, you will lose your entry fee.

2)  We will offer skins, super-skins, closest to the pins, and longest drive both days. Entry into these will be paid on Saturday morning for both days. Please bring cash for this ($50 for both days for everything). Bring your money for both days on Saturday morning, we will not be taking up any money on Sunday morning.

3)  Starting time for tournament will be 8am* shotgun on Saturday & 8 am shotgun on Sunday. Players will turn in their official scorecards to the pro shop on Saturday, and you will be free to go wherever you want after you turning in your scorecard. Saturday skins will be given when Sunday skins are awarded.

*may also be some tee times on Saturday.

4)  Players will convene at Tunica National after Sundays round for trophies, prizes, and skins presentations.

5)
Please do not interfere with the scorer's in any way on Sunday, just turn in your score card and leave the table.

6) Players will be paired with other players in their flight randomly, no matter which tour they may be from. After Saturdays round, players will be paired by their scores for Sunday. NO EXCEPTIONS. Sunday pairings will be posted on tour websites on Saturday nite.

7)  New members with less than 2 tour tournaments played (or a verified USGA handicap) will be "bumped" if index is below flight parameters of your flight. You will receive points and may receive skins, closest to pins...etc. for your finish, but no flight prizes or trophies.  All players are subject to, and will be bumped if it is deemed necessary by the tournament committee. Please read Tour Manual section on this, and read the Local Tour Policies on Memphis/N.MS Golfweek page for information on out of flight scoring.  Tournament committee will consist of Greg Cryder, Ed McDugle, Jerry Homishak, Russ Donaldson, Steve Packard, and the course pro or assistant pro.  Any player on committee that is a part of a "decision/ruling" in question will be removed and replaced with another player from the same flight.

8) Pace of Play:  We want you to enjoy your round but for the sake of everyone’s enjoyment need you to please stay in position. Slow play penalties will be assessed. Ready Golf is simply defined as HIT WHEN READY. If you reach your ball and are ready to hit, when other members of your group are not yet prepared, then go ahead and hit.
Additional Pace of Play Rules/Guidelines
Course marshals will have FULL authority and will act as Tour officials and will warn slow groups and then report to the director.  If you cannot see the group in front of you when you are on the tee box, you are likely out of position and will only be warned one time. 2nd offense and the marshal will ask you to skip a hole. If this happens, every player in the group will receive a two stroke penalty. If you choose not to do as the marshal instructs, everyone in the group that doesn't skip the hole will be DQ'd with no refund and no winnings of any kind as your scores will not count. Please DO NOT try to contact tour director during tournament about slow players, inform the marshal.
ï‚· Players should always hit a provisional ball when a ball goes into an area where it may be lost or OB.  If you are unsure of the outcome of your ball and think it "may be" lost or OB, play a provisional ball.

9) Any player that curses the marshal, other players, damages the course, or is a nuisance in any way will be asked to leave the course and will be DQ'd. This applies to before, during, & after the tournament. All players must comply with dress code and soft spikes are required.

10)  Exchange scorecards with the other cart in your group. Each player’s score is kept by another player or official "marker" who must record the players’ hole-by-hole scores on the player’s line, and for reference may keep his own unofficial score at the bottom or far side of the card (you may also keep a separate unofficial scorecard for reference). Whenever possible, you should not be the marker for the player who is your marker; and should not be the marker for your cart-mate.

11) Triple bogey max for all flights except champ, USGA rules in effect at all times, local course rules take precedence over tour and USGA rules where applicable.  The "one ball rule" is in effect and will be enforced.  It is the players responsibility to know the rules.  On the first tee each player should identify his ball with a distinctive marking and show it to his playing partners. Players must be able to positively identify any ball they find as theirs, or it is deemed a "lost" ball under USGA rules.

12)  Players in each group will need to agree/determine where a ball entered hazards/grass and agree on rules for each and every situation.  Any dispute or disagreement on rules will be handled first by the course pro, and if not available, the tournament committee.

13)  Players need to ride in cart you are assigned, do not change carts.  Anyone that changes carts will be moved to last place in their flight, regardless of their score.  Only tour director can make changes to cart assignments. Only tournament players will be allowed to ride in carts during tournament. Wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, fathers, mothers....etc., will be required to rent a separate cart to ride and watch.

14)  Course officials will go over the indigenous grasses and/or other areas at golf courses that are off limits.

15)  Playoffs for first place will be on-course playoff, and will not be an option.  If this is not available, we will use scorecard playoff that uses the last 9 holes, last 6 holes, last 3 holes, #18.  After this we will go to the #1 handicap hole, #2...etc.

Although this is a competitive golf tournament, try to enjoy yourself.  If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.  We thank all of you for playing in the Isle of Capri Regional Major.  Pairings will be posted on website.  See you on June 21st!
