Notes From the Tour Director
Lots to talk about!
I haven’t talked to y’all in a while. I hope everyone is doing well, and as the holidays approach I hope everyone has a great winter season.
First, I want to thank everyone for being a part of our Tour. I learned a lot in my first year, and it was my pleasure to be at your service.
Website Update - If you weren’t aware the website is undergoing a complete makeover. If you visit the National page it has already been converted, and our local pages should be converted by the end of the week. I have been working hard to streamline and update our information. I think it will look a lot better, but I know there is always a learning curve when encountering a new technology change, so please don’t hesitate to ask questions if there is any confusion.
Next year's membership will be available to sign up and pay starting next Friday (Black Friday) November 26th. I will be offering the lowest rate ever from Nov. 26th to the end of the year Dec. 31st --- ONLY $89 for the year. On Jan. 1st the membership rate goes up to $99 from Jan. 1st until Feb. 28th, and then it goes up to the normal rate of $120 starting March 1st. Sign up and pay as soon as possible to get the lowest rate!
Our 2022 Referral Bonus - If an existing member refers and gets a player (new or returning that wasn't a member last year) to play in one event, I will buy your first tournament's flight skins and CTP entry - $20 value.
Senior Tour - The Senior Tour is back in Nashville! The Senior Tour will have its own events usually on Sundays (I hope to pair them with AGT Saturday event weekends in close proximity). If you are 50 or older you qualify. Come join us. You can even join both Tours and play double the events. The Senior Tour will have their own 2 day majors, and their own National Championship. It has been expanded to include a D flight. More chances to play locally!
Schedule - I have posted our tentative schedule on the website front page. As I confirm dates and get contracts signed you will see the schedule develop. Please be aware that I may have courses that decline or switch dates on me, so it is subject to change. I do need to let everyone know that it seems that every course is raising rates on us. Last year was a banner year for golf, and more demand for a low supply of courses in our area means higher rates. I will do what I can to limit cost. My goal is to keep events around $100 when possible, but you will see some rate increases.
