Champ Flight - The Champ flight once again did not disappoint. With Day 1 in the books we had the top 3 players within 4 strokes of each other. Mark Nash, Billy Hinojos and George Morrison would be going into Day 2 with one goal in mind, and a tough course ahead of them. Mark Nash is not know for making mistakes and going into Day 2 with a 1 stroke lead would put the pressure on the other 2 players. After the front nine it would be just Mark and Billy left with Mark having a 3 stroke lead. Billy would trip up on #10 and score a triple bogey he would give Mark what would look like a commanding lead. But Billy would not give up with out a fight and grind his way back shutting a back 9 score of 38 to take not only the victory over Mark but do it with a 1 stroke lead.

A Flight - A flight showed us that no matter how far behind you are anything can happen on Day 2. Glenn Gibson would end Day 1 with a solid round shooting an 80 and leading by 3 strokes. With a tougher course coming up anything can happen and it showed. Glenn would have a consistency round on Day 2, and with a lead looked like he may cruise to the victory. But Galen Thomas had other plans. Galen ended Day 1 behind big trailing Glenn by 8 strokes. But shooting low scores on the front and back on Day 2 he would put the pressure on going into the last hole. But once the dust settled Glenn Gibson would be victorious and because of his lead after the first day would win by 1 stroke.

B Flight - Let’s talk about fate. Amit Lopes was so intrigued with what the trophies would look like that we took one out of the box. So happen it was the B Flight trophy and Amit had a feeling it was going to be a good event. After Day 1 Amit would lead the field by 2 strokes over Michael Glenn, and 3 strokes over Gaudencio Pavia. Everyone know that either one of those 3 players can put up a good score on Day 2 and be victorious. But Amit was not going to let that happen shooting our second best score of the day with an 82 and beating both Michael and Gaudencio by 9 strokes for the tournament. I guess it was meant to be for Amit Lopes.

C Flight  - As it has been all season long, everyone from C Flight has their eyes on Marco Arras. Marco has been dominating every event and has won every event he has played. Despite the chants of “MOVE HIM UP”, Marco has not let that bother him. That was until this event as Ruben Tavera and our guest from Hilton Head-Savannah tour Case Mulherin were looking to dethrone Marco. After Day 1 was settled Ruben would have the lead by 1 stroke over both Case and Marco. For Day 2 Case would struggle to start his round going triple bogey then double bogey in the first 2 holes. The lead would then change hands numerous time between Ruben and Marco but Case would not give up. Ruben had a solid round shooting 45 for his front and back 9. But Marco would take the lead going into the last 3 holes. Case was right on Marcos heels as he was 3 back going into the reachable Par 5 18th hole. Case would get on in 2 and Marco was in trouble on the left. But Marco seem to have ice in his veins as he casually scored a par to Case’s birdie to take once again another victory and win by 2 strokes.

D Flight - The D Flight had some familiar faces for another event this season. Anyone was capable of taking this victory and it sure looked that way. After Day 1 was over Craig Christianson would have a 7 stroke lead over the field, and with how consist Craig can be it was not going to be an easy task for the group. On Day 2 everyone was within 5 strokes of each other after the front 9. But at the turn that is when the fireworks happened and Craig turned up his game. Craig would shoot a 46 on the back and would end up taking another victory by 13 strokes. It sounds like the “MOVE HIM UP” chants are starting to come from his fellow competitors.
