Kickoff Classic @ Lone Star Golf Club

Champ Flight  had the most players registered with 14. The most we have every had in this flight. Mark Nash started his Defending Champion campaign with a strong finish in a tough field. The top 4 players would be all within 1 stroke of Mark. But with 5 straight pars to finish the round he would win by 1 stroke.

A Flight  we had another close race with again the top 4 players within 2 strokes of each other. Galen Thomas would have the best back nine score of the flight with a 40, but with a strong front 9 performance Scott Cain would hold off to win.

B Flight  would keep the trend going with a close race throughout the flight. The top 7 players fought till the end but a consistent 40 in both the front and back nine would be what won the race in the B Flight. Guadencio Pavia would come out with the victory once all the dust settled.

C Flight  looked like one player was going to take it with ease. Marco Arras would make the turn +3. But our guest from the Denver Tour, Jack Middeker would not give up without a fight. As the winds picked up and the consistent play from Jack the lead was cut down. But in the end Marco would remain on top and win by 1 stroke. What a battle.

D Flight  group saw one player fight back to take the win. Jerry Lohman lead the field at the turn by 3 strokes. But Marco Viramontes would battle through the back nine and would eventually take the lead, and give it back to be tied after 16. And with solid play on 17 and 18, he would par both and take the victory by 3 strokes.
