2019 Prairie Landing Tournament Recap

Prairie Landing GC Tournament Recap

Alaimo and Quinton repeat at Prairie Landing!

It has not been an ideal start for the Chicago Tour. 2 weeks after losing the season opener at Mistwood, the members fought through a cold, wet and rainy day at Prairie Landing GC. In the end, the tournament was completed and the season is off and running!

In the Championship Flight, Ben Kilborn kicked off the 2019 season in fine style, carding a 1 over par 73 in the difficult conditions. The key moment of the day came on 13, where Kilborn birdied and built a 3 shot lead, which held up to bring home the hardware. Cully Johnston (75) took home second place, while Tim Morrow (76) took 3rd.

In the A Flight, Fred Alaimo (75) defended his 2018 title at Prairie Landing with a 1 shot victory this year. Alaimo was cruising shooting 2 under par on the front along until some late troubles made it close at the end. Second place went to Milwaukee member Ryan Arnold (76), while third went to Tonie Price and Mike Realie (78). Bobby Lesher's eagle on #4 stood up for the only Super Skin of the day!

In the B Flight, Tim Laskowski was in control for most of the day and cruised to a 4 shot victory. Laskowski shot 79, with 3 birdies to be the only B flight player to break 80. His birdie on 17 sealed the tournament. Danny Eastep (83) finished in 2nd, while David Bush and Eric Lee (84) finished tied for 3rd.

In the C Flight, Frank Alaimo kept the family in the champion circle, as he shot his best round on tour in over a year carding an 83 which was highlighted with a birdie on #2. This is Alaimo's second career victory at Prairie Landing. Rick Pisarcyzk (87), took 2nd place, while Dave Czerniak (89) finished third.

In the D Flight, Andy Quinton (89) also made it back to back, successfully defending his title with a 6 shot victory. Quinton's day was highlighted by a birdie at #14 to put the field out of reach. John Trongale (95) took home second place, while Balvinder Singh (96) took home 3rd

Up next for the Chicago tour is the super regional event at Kohler, Wisconsin as the Midwest Open is ready! The Chicago tour will be 1 of 14 tours represented at the premier event of the summer!
