Two birdies down the stretch and a score of four over par 39 on the back was the deciding factor for Sola today. Vince Thompson  shot 91 as he kept it close but could not overcome Sola’s finish as he became the runner up. Doug Chase placed third by shooting an even 100, while Keith Thomas grabbed fourth place with a score of 104. Rounding out the top five was Mike Charles with a round of 105.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every participant for coming out to all of the events put on in 2022. Chuck and Sola got us on some great golf courses this year, there’s no denying that. The quality of the courses and the quality of our tour members made this a fun and successful year. I look forward to seeing everyone back in 2023. Please tell your friends and bring them out to compete and play courses they may never see without an organization like ours. Be safe, and we will see you next season.

Next up is the Nationals in Hilton Head. Check your emails for information.

Sadly, we were dealt a loss across the entire Tour as we lost long-term member Bobby Hutchison Thursday morning.  He dressed for the day, but said he felt unwell and laid down for a few minutes before heading out and passed away in his sleep.  Many of you noticed that he was not there today and he will leave a void in our Tour and our Lives and he will be sorely missed.  As we learn more, we will share, but for now please send your thoughts and prayers to his wife and family.

Keith Hills 2 Day Major
