The 2026 season kept rolling with the Southwest Showdown at Rio Mimbres Country Club in Deming, NM.
We had another strong field of 78 players come out ready to compete. It was a little chilly to start the morning, but the sun showed up and warmed things up nicely for a great day of golf.
Huge thanks to Rio Mimbres CC for hosting us and to all the players who battled it out and made this event another success. The momentum is building early this season — and we’re just getting started!

Tournament Results

Champ Flight
Leading off the event we had one of the biggest turn outs for the Champ Flight that our tour has ever seen. It started off looking like a fierce battle, but quickly changed in a heartbeat. Our soon to be champion would start his round with six birdies and with minimul hickups would stay under par in dramatic fashion. NEW MEMBER Derek Almanza emerged victorious with a -3 (69), marking this his FIRST TOUR WIN in his very first event!. NEW MEMBER Jake Alcorta would battle and take second place with a EVEN PAR (72).

A Flight
Our next flight also had one of thier best showing and we all knew the battle was going to be intense. At the halfway point, everyone was still in the the chase for victory with only four strokes seperating everyone. Ultimately, the final two holes would be what was the deciding factor for our champion. Fernie Jasso would claim another victory with a +5 (77), marking his 7th TOUR WIN. Dan Duran would take second place with a +11 (83).

B Flight
Like we always say, this flight is always exciting because everyone gets a shot at winning! At the halfway point, there was a tie for the lead with over a third of the field right behind them. As the event would get heated up, one Members would turn up the heat and take the lead with only a few holes remaining. Roy Littleton made a return to the winners’ circle with a +5 (77), securing his 4th TOUR WIN. Jordan Morrow & Michael Wood Jr. finished tied for second with a +8 (80), with Jordan taking second after the tie breakers and Michael Wood Jr. would take third.

C Flight
With the biggest field of the event for the second time this year, anyone was capable of taking the victory. At the turn, we would have sixteen players in striking distance of each other. One slip and that could determine the victory for someone. It would come down to the very end and some waiting to see who our champion would be. Orlando Almeida would win with an outstanding +9 (81), marking his 5th TOUR WIN. NEW MEMBER Ray Belk Sr. would take second place with a +11 (83), Stephanie Cieslik would take third with a +12 (84), and NEW MEMBER Ruben Herrera would round it out with a fourth place finish at +13 (85).

D Flight
Our final group is always a blast, and anything can happen until the very end! At the turn, the entire field was in the running, and with only nine holes to go, it was anyone’s game. In the end, one player would finish with three straight pars and do something only few have done on our tour. German Macias would win with a +19 (91), marking his 6th TOUR win, and BACK TO BACK VICTORIES!!! Frank Grijalva & Enrique Solis would tie with a +22 (94), with Frank Grijalva taking second after the tie breakers and Enrique Solis taking third.
