Horizon Recap

|
The Horizon Open at Horizon Golf Course on April 25th was another strong showing for the 2026 season!
Around 60 players competed on a well-maintained course. Early weather was favorable, but the wind challenged the field.
A huge thank you to our event sponsor Metropolitan Inc., who helped elevate this event with on-course contests and raffle prizes supporting the V Foundation, adding even more excitement throughout the day.
Thanks to Horizon Golf Course and their staff for hosting us once again. The energy and competition continue to grow each event — this tour keeps getting better every week.

Champ Flight
We would have a back and forth matchup for most the day, until the winds picked up and made things more difficult for this flight. Being from the farthest tees, all the shots need to be dialed in or the winds would take them for a ride. In the end, a solid front and back nine would be the difference for Marshall Daniel to be victorious with a +1 (71), marking this his 5th TOUR WIN & 2nd OF THE SEASON!

A Flight
We would see a race all day, and anything could happen after the turn. The leader by four strokes would need a strong back nine to hold off the rest of the solid field. On the 17th hole our leader take a stuble but would finish it off on 18 to take the victory. Fernie Jasso would return to the the winner circle with a +5 (75) and making this his 8th TOUR WIN & 3rd OF THE SEASON!

B Flight
With the second biggest field of the event, anything could happen especially with the winds howling to start the rounds. At the turn we would see half the field in striking distance with only a handful of strokes seperating them. At one point we would see a tie for first between a seven players. After the dust has settled, this would be the second event in a row that we would need a playoff to determine the winner. After one hole we would see Jordan Morrow claim the victory with a +11 (81), securing his 11th TOUR WIN OVERALL & 2nd OF THE SEASON! 14 YEAR OLD Alex Jasso would take the second place after the playoff, and NEW B FLIGHT MEMBER Jon Calderon would round it off in third with a +13 (83) after a scorecard playoff.

C Flight
Anything could happen in this flight with everyone having to battle the course and the winds all day. At the turn we would have more than half the fieldin the hunt of our leader. With a consistent front and back nine and a birdie on the 17th hole, our leader for majority of the day would hold off the entire flight. Asher Lopes would return to the winners circle with a +10 (80), marking his 3rd VICTORY OVERALL! NEW MEMBER Donald Lara would take second place with a +13 (83). Ruben Herrera would take third with a +15 (85).

D Flight
Our final group would have a battle to the very end. At the turn we would see one player with a huge lead, but could he hold on with the winds and tough conditions. With some solid golf in the back nine we would see a player emerge from the ashes to claim the victory. Steven Trevizo would come from behind to claim the victory with a +17 (87), marking this her 4th VICTORY OVERALL & 1st in over a year. Nique Woods-Shells would take second with a +19 (89). Cheech Marin would take third with a +20 (90).
