Day 2 Mozingo Lake 2025 - Day 2 Results

The MO Open weekend ultimately resulted in a positive outcome, despite initial concerns regarding inclement weather. To prevent the cancellation of the first day, the Tour of Warriors, which included the Champ and A Flights, proceeded on the course amid rain at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course.

By the end of Day One, Adam Trainor held a narrow one-shot lead over Caleb Morrison in the Champ Flight, while Larry Langley, the newest member, trailed by only five shots.

On Day Two, Morrison made a strong comeback, posting a +4 score on the front nine, which granted him a three-shot lead over Trainor and a four-shot lead over Langley. However, a triple bogey on hole #10 allowed Langley to close the gap to just one shot. By hole #11, Morrison and Langley were tied for the lead, engaging in a spirited contest down the stretch. Ultimately, Caleb Morrison claimed victory, finishing two strokes ahead of Trainor and four strokes clear of Langley.

A Flight commenced under rainy conditions, yet Troy Bailey remained focused, securing birdies on holes #1 and #9 for a +3 score on the front nine, placing him second to Scottie Glodowski, who achieved a consistent +2. Glodowski's two birdies on the back nine allowed him to extend his lead to four strokes over Andrew Zeigler on Day One.

On Day Two, Glodowski continued to work on his 3-peat and performed strongly, finishing with scores of 76-75-151 and ultimately securing the Major win. Kasey Tolle’s scores of 83-80-163 earned him the $200 second-place prize. Meanwhile, Matt Thorman executed a remarkable comeback, moving up from ninth place with four birdies and one eagle on the final day to secure third place and a substantial amount of $kin’s money.

Following the first day of competition, the B Flight standings were highly competitive, with nine out of twelve participants separated by just five strokes. Kyle Rosenbaum made a notable statement, posting an impressive score of 39 on the front nine, leaving him just one stroke behind Brandon Hale, who wrapped up with a total score of 86.

On Day Two, Jacob Wedekind rose to the top, finishing the front nine at +4, which put him four strokes ahead of Hale. Wedekind continued his strong play, matching his +4 score on the back nine, securing his first tournament victory of 2025. Meanwhile, Will Duncan delivered a commendable performance with a score of 42 on the back nine, winning the tiebreaker against Hale for third place.

The C Flight commenced under clear skies, where Alan Parker, along with his +9 score, rapidly established a four-shot lead over Dillon Meals. Meals concluded the front nine at +4, which included three birdies, earning him the title of Birdie Leader for the C Flight.

On Sunday, the final group comprised Ron Rosenbaum and Brandon Love. Parker began his round with a birdie and sustained an impressive performance throughout, finishing with a score of +11. He ultimately secured victory in the C Flight, earning a promotion to the B Flight.

Meals maintained his position to claim the $300 prize for second place, while Love received $200 for third place. Notably, Tracy Hanback made a significant move, ascending from tenth place to capture the fourth-place purse.

In the D Flight, Cliff Austin Jr. kicked off the tournament with a front nine score of 42 and wrapped up Day One with a total score of 92, maintaining a five-shot lead over Brad Haeffner and a seven-shot lead over Blaine Mathews. On Day Two, Haeffner narrowed the gap just two shots after the first nine holes. Brad's birdie on hole #8 gave him a two-shot advantage, ultimately leading to his victory and promotion to the C Flight. Randal Rosenbaum made a strong push on Day 2, finishing in third place. Notably, on Day 1, Rosenbaum executed a remarkable 70-yard shot drop for birdie, and Mathews managed to achieve a 40-yard chip-in on the final hole of Day Two for a Bogey.
