Millington, TN - A beautiful day for golf was the good part............. and the bad part was the greens at Glen Eagle were fast with lots of ondulations which led to higher scores.
Champ flight was won by Ed McDugle with a nice score of 75. This was Ed's second win in a row. Second place went to guest Steven Ray from Nashville, who carded an 82. Phillip Roberts rounded out the top 3 with an 87.
Todd Bradford also took home his second win in a row in A' flight with a 78. Points leader Jordan Jones finished second with 79, and Troy Weeks took 3rd with an 80.
In B' Flight, tour vet Jeff Donovan shot an impressive 81 to win by 4 strokes! Great score Jeff! John Pigg shot an 85 for second place, with Berje Yacoubian taking third with an 87.
C' Flight saw young Parker Harris notch his first win of the seasnon with a 90. Congrats to Parker. Fred Bryant beat out Shane Springer on a scorecard playoff for second place. Both players shot 93.
Rookie Shawn Yosten shot 92 to take home D' Flight honors. Don Harris (AKA "Schemer") beat out newest member Mike Catlin on a scorecard playoff to take second place.
Glen Eagle was in great shape, and the tour would like to thank Brandon Mendes and the entire staff for a fine job. Thanks to all the players that came out to play, even with severe weather on the prowl at tee time.
Our next tournament is the Isle of Capri Casino Classic, a "major" worth double points, being held June 4th at the Ole Miss Golf Course in Oxford, MS. This is a fine golf course, and this one I wouldn't miss if you are planning on playing in a Golfweek Amateur Tournament this season.
