  • We are expecting a large turn-out for this event based on the number of players we had for our Innaugural Hosting. If we reach over 140 players, we will be using both courses, both days for the event.
  • If we use both courses, both days then we will put certain flights on one course and the rest of the flights on the other course for day 1 and then switch for day 2
  • All Final Scoring will be completed at the Old Waverly Club House after completion of your rounds
  • If you are at Mossy Oak, you will be required to turn in your scorecard at the scoring table at Mossy Oak before you leave and then head over to the Old Waverly Club House
  • Mossy Oak does not have cart paths all the way through the course so if the course is too wet from rain then players would be required to walk the course
  • In leu of making players walk, if we run into this issue then we will play the Old Waverly Course both Days and depending on how many players, will either do Tee Times or possibly a morning and afternoon shotgun
  • There are many contingency plans in place based on the weather and we will monitor and keep everyone informed as we get closer to the event
  • If we use both courses, both days then the Super Skins will be for each course

The semiprivate club is accessible for anyone who books a stay at one of its cottages, villas or condos. Getting inside the gates unlocks a classy golf experience. The staff is friendly, the true epitome of Southern hospitality.

The clubhouse is comfortable with multiple areas to dine in or have a drink. The whole place, built by the Bryan family in 1988, just exudes class.
With the new Mossy Oak Golf Club designed by Gil Hanse across the street, Old Waverly became one of the most coveted golf getaways in the South, especially on college football Saturdays when the Mississippi State Bulldogs, located in nearby Starkville, host another rugged home game in the SEC.

Set within the Mississippi Black Prairie region, Mossy Oak Golf Club is perhaps destined to topple Tom Fazio's Fallen Oak from the head of Mississippi's Best in State rankings.

Mossy Oak is the first US course from Gil Hanse since his Rio Olympic Golf Course wooed the crowds in 2016.
The minimalist layout is an engaging and strategic walking course that's generously routed across rolling pastureland where native grasses and occasional oak trees work together simply and harmoniously.

The club moniker is "Nature's Golf" and it's plain to see why. The layout looks and feels just like a lie-of-the-land course from a bygone era. Tees and greens are positioned in close proximity to each other and most importantly Mossy Oak plays firm and fast.

Bunkering often makes or breaks a course, and here at Mossy Oak, the traps are undeniably top quality and reminiscent of the work-class bunkers found in abundance across Melbourne's Sandbelt.
