      Course Description
The original club was organized at the Athelstan Club on March 21, 1906, with 85 enrolled out of its membership limit of 100.

In April 1906, the Corey Farm on Michigan Avenue was purchased and became the site of the first golf course and clubhouse. The area is now known as Leila Arboretum. The location was regarded as ideal. The property extended on both sides of West Michigan Avenue. The Kalamazoo River ran along the south border of the property. A new clubhouse of Swiss design was built and for the next dozen or more years was destined to be the scene of many happy events.

On August 29, 1919, the Country Club announced the purchase of Calmary Farm, the C.L. Post property at Goguac Lake. The price paid was $65,000 and included 103 acres and 1,400 feet of shoreline. The white structure was the summer home of Mr. Post which in turn became the "new" clubhouse. On October 1, 1919, the membership set up a new organization called the Battle Creek Country Club.

Articles of incorporation were signed and the membership was announced at 175 with a top limit set at 200.
