2026 Orlando Tour Information

Welcome to the Golfweek Orlando Tour 

We have some new and exciting changes in 2026, so please read carefully.

 
2026 Membership :
 
Membership is $120. 
 
* Once you play in 3 tounraments we will pay for your skins and super skins in your fourth one-day tournament ($20 value).

* Membership in the Golfweek Amateur Tour allows all members to compete in any Golfweek Amateur Tour event across the country!

* Members will get a $50 coupon to use in the Golfweek Amateur Tour Pro Shop

 

Two Seasons in One - more ways to win :

Overall point winners:

At the End of the SEASON there will be a Point Winner in each Flight. Points can be attained by playing in Regionals, Local Tour or even a different Tour.  Regardless......All Points that are allowed will be used! 
Winners will receive a  Free Entry into the 2025 National Championship in Hilton Head, SC.

Season One:

The player with the most points in the first 7 tournaments will win FREE entries into the final 4 tournaments of the year ($555 value) that are run by the Orlando Tour (Rio Pinar, Celebration, Shingle Creek, and Stoneybrook).  For this contest, points only count on tournaments played on the Orlando Tour.  If you move up a flight your full points still count.

Season Two:

The player who has the most points in the final 6 tournaments of the season will win $500 - excluding the Overall point winners.  If you win the free entry to the National Finals you can't win this prize.   For this contest, points only count on tournaments played on the Orlando Tour.  If you move up a flight your full points still count.

 

TOURNAMENT PRIZE BREAKDOWN:

Pay-out in all Flights will be in the form of VISA GIFT CARDS, unless a sponsor is involved in a particular tournament.  Pay-out will be BASED on the Number of Participants in each Flight. 

All First-Places Ties will Result in a Sudden-Death play off. All other Ties will be DECIDED by Tour Guidelines.

 

CASH GAMES: OPTIONAL SIDE GAMES

FLIGHT SKINS GAMES ($10.00): If you’re the only player to Post a Birdie or Better on any hole during the Tournament, You Win a Skin. Flight Skins may be modified based on number of Players per Flight at that Tournament.

SUPER SKINS ($10.00): If you're the only player to Post a Birdie or Better on any hole during the Tournament, You Win a Super Skin. This apply to all Flights. 

Birdies on Par 3's ($10.00): Anyone who makes a birdie on a par 3 will get a portion of the pot.  Pot will be divided by the number of birdies.

50-50 Contest: ($10,00):  At each tournament we will do a drawing to support the V Foundation.  Half the pot will go to the winner of the drawing and the other half will be donated to the cancer research Foundation.

Bring CASH with You for the CASH GAMES.  No Venmo or exceptions.

HOLE IN ONE POT: $10 year long buy in or until someone makes a hole-in-one.  If no one wins the pot we will do a drawing at the end of the year for the people who have paid into the pot.  We will draw two names to split the money.

 

Referral Program:

Our members are the most important way we can grow our Tour.  We sincerely appreciate you telling your friends about the Tour and encouraging them to join and play.

We will pay $25.00 for every new player you refer and who: (1) joins the tour as a full member; (2) player must put your name in the "How did you hear about the tour" section or you can email us to let us know once the join; and (3) Player MUST play at least 1 tournament during the season.

 

TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

Tournaments are 18 or 36 hole stroke play events. Using only gross score. Conforming to USGA rules.

Ball will be played down. Unless weather and course conditions require the Director to make a Decision on play.

Golf course and tees will be set up to meet Tour Guidelines. Take time and Read the Tour Guidelines.

Find your Flight:

  • Championship Flight: 0 to 3.9 Handicap
  • A Flight: 4.0 to 8.9 Handicap
  • B Flight: 9.0 to 13.9 Handicap
  • C Flight: 14.0 to 18.9 Handicap
  • D Flight: 19.0 and Higher Handicap

All flights will be from a set of tees customized at each tournament.  

The following guidelines will be used for determining length:

Championship Flight will play at 6500 – 7000 yards

A Flight will play at 6500 – 6800 yards

B Flight will play at 6400 – 6600 yards

C Flight will play at 6200 – 6400 yards

D Flight will play 5900 – 6200 yards

Women will play from a tee box of the closest comparable slope rating to that of the men in the same flight (in the absence of a suitable tee box the Local Tour Director will choose or designate a tee box or tee box combination the equivalent of 90% of the men's distance in the same flight)
