The Southern Regional at Sea Island will be contested over 36-holes. All participants are scheduled to play one (1) round at the Plantation Course and one (1) round at the Seaside Course. Tour players from all over the country will converge on Sea Island to play this PGA Tour stop venue.
Plantation Course
With Rees Jones' masterful renovation, Plantation Course unfolds among a forest of ancient live oak and cedar, with a hing of danger lurking in its tidal creeks and lakes. Plantation boasts expansive fairways that give definition to the course, showcasing beautiful views of the ocean, oaks, and blooming flowers - enticing the accomplished and inviting the novice. Jones calls the new Plantation "parkland by the sea" for its magnificent vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and its lush natural scenery. Rees added, "I took the work of Walter Travis (who designed Plantation in 1926) and Dick Wilson (who fashioned Retreat in 1960) and produced a classic style course with a similar flavor."
Seaside Course
The Seaside Course is a links course graced by majestic ocean vistas in the tradition of St. Andrews. It began as the Seaside Nine, now it's been recreated as the new 18-hole Seaside Course, skillfully achieved by architect Tom Fazio. Tidal creeks, saltmarshes, and St. Simon's Sound frame the course. Ancient oaks and ceders, white sandy dunes, and native grasses add contrast to the perfectly manicrued fairways and greens. |

Sea Island Room Rates for the Golfweek Amateur Tour
All Players must stay at the Inn or the Lodge to play in this Regional!
The Lodge is $615 per night
The Inn at Sea Island - (includes Continental Breakfast daily at the Inn)
Taxes are not included in the above rate and currently include:
6% sales tax, 5% room tax, 2.25% Sea Island Infrastructure Fee, and $5/night Georgia state lodging tax
- Rooms may be reserved by calling the reservations office at 888-720-2056
- You must identify yourself as part of the Golfweek Amateur Tour Players Room Block to access the available rooms on a first-come-first-serve basis
- A deposit of two (2) nights room charge will be required per reservation.
