Walace Nelson, Marcus Wirth, TJ Eaves, Jeff Stewart, and Jermaine Luke all won the 2025 Western Players Championship Regional.

The 2025 Western Players Championship Regional convened members from 28 of our Local Tours nationwide in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event took place at TPC Scottsdale, utilizing both The Stadium and The Championship Courses, and welcomed 166 Golfweek Amateur Tour members.

Champ Flight - Wallace Nelson (Arizona) and Laurie Warder (Arizona) engaged in fierce competition over the course of the two-day Regional Championship at TPC Scottsdale, with the outcome remaining uncertain until the final hole. Throughout the event, Nelson and Warder collectively recorded an impressive fifthteen birdies and one eagle. Both players reached a score of 68 at various points during the tournament. A critical par on the challenging par four 18th hole ultimately proved decisive, allowing Wally to secure a narrow victory, finishing at 69, while Laurie claimed second place solo with a score of 70.

A Flight - Marcus Wirth (North Central Florida) commenced Day Two of the Western Players Championship trailing Day One leader Andrew Masters (St. Louis, MO) by three strokes. Wirth found his rhythm on Day Two, achieving five birdies and finishing the round with a score of 73, ultimately securing a three-shot victory with a two-day total of 151. Meanwhile, Kristen Endorf (Richmond) began Day Two nine strokes behind the leaders but delivered an impressive performance, posting the tournament's lowest score in the A Flight with a 70, which included five birdies. This outstanding round propelled her to a solo second-place finish at TPC.

B Flight - TJ Eaves (Charlotte, NC) commenced Day Two of the Western Players Championship in a four-way tie for tenth place, starting the day four strokes behind the leaders. With a strong performance, Eaves positioned himself close to the leaders before the excitement unfolded. He birdied three of his final five holes, including the last two, propelling him to a one-shot victory with a two-day total of 156. Meanwhile, Pete Quinn (Las Vegas, NV) demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the weekend, recording scores of 79 and 78, which enabled him to rise from a tie for sixth to secure a solo second place with a two-day total of 157.

In the C Flight of the Western Players Championship, Jeff Stewart (Atlanta, GA) recorded a score of 82 on Day One, placing him in a tie for the lead with Ryan Wood (Arizona) entering the final round. Consistency proved to be crucial for Stewart, as he carded an 83 in the concluding round, ultimately securing victory by three strokes with a total score of 165. Meanwhile, Greg Gatrell (Tampa, FL) began the final round five shots behind Stewart but mounted a strong challenge, posting a tournament-low score of 81 to finish in solo second with a total of 168.

In the D Flight, Jermaine Luke (Atlanta, GA) and Rei Nakamura (St. Louis, MO) showcased an impressive display of skill, matching each other stroke for stroke over two days at TPC Scottsdale, yet neither could secure a definitive victory. Luke entered Day Two with a narrow one-shot advantage over Nakamura, a lead that fluctuated four times throughout the round. A birdie on the Par 3 third hole allowed Luke to regain the lead, but Nakamura demonstrated remarkable resilience by tying the score with a crucial par on the final hole. Ultimately, the playoff favored Luke, earning him the title of Regional Champion.
