Griffin Agent, Dan Hubbard, Micah Holton, Dan Gautreaux, and Jason Ramey take home titles at Bayou Regional TPC of Louisiana
The Bayou Regional at TPC of Louisiana served as a premier stop for the 2026 season, drawing competitors to one of the most iconic layouts in the South. Players representing 22 local Tours from across the country faced the Pete Dye-designed challenges of the Bayou, where precision and nerves were tested over 36 holes. The humid Louisiana air and strategic water hazards provided a high-stakes backdrop for this latest chapter in the Golfweek Amateur Tour.
Champ Flight, Griffin Agent and Kenneth Stewart, both representing the Mississippi Tour, turned the Champ Flight into a two-man race at the top. Agent set the tone early with a stellar opening-round 70, giving him a 4-shot cushion heading into Day Two. While the course played tougher during the final round, Agent stayed composed, matching Stewart’s 78 to maintain his lead. Agent finished at 148 for the weekend to secure a 4-shot victory. Stewart took solo second at 152, while Matthew Foehse (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN Tour Director) rounded out the top three with carding a 157.
A Flight, Dan Hubbard (Louisiana North) put on a ball-striking clinic to climb the leaderboard. Starting the final round with one shot behind Bubba Kaiser (Mississippi) and five shots back of first-round leader Gran Sumrall (Atlanta, GA), Hubbard fired the low round of the flight on Day Two with a 75. His consistency allowed him to bypass the field and finish at 153 for a comfortable 3-shot win. Kaiser held steady with a 79 to take solo second, while Andrew Masters (St. Louis, MO) claimed third with a two-day total of 157, Andy York (Louisiana North) and Sumrall tying for forth place with a 158.
The B Flight saw a dramatic shift on Sunday as Micah Holton (Louisiana North) surged from the pack. Holton entered the final round three shots behind leader JD Davidson (Louisiana North), but while the rest of the field struggled with the Sunday pins, Holton carded a solid 80. His 159 total allowed him to leapfrog the competition for a 4-shot victory. A four-way logjam for second place featured LR Gardner (Arkansas), Brian Miller (Louisiana North), Michael Carr (Atlanta, GA), and Tyler Branch (Louisiana North), all finishing at 163.
The C Flight provided the closest finish of the weekend, resulting in a co-championship at the top. Dan Gautreaux (Louisiana South) and Austin Ludeman (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN) battled stroke-for-stroke, both finishing with 36-hole totals of 174. Gautreaux used local knowledge to grind out an 87 on the final day, while Ludeman’s consistent 85-89 weekend kept him right in the mix. They finished two shots ahead of Charles Mathis (Atlanta, GA) and Chris Louth (Cincinnati/Dayton), who tied for third at 176.
D Flight, Jason Ramey (Louisiana North) proved that consistency is king in the D Flight. Posting rounds of 91 and 92, Ramey navigated the hazards of TPC Louisiana better than anyone else in the field. He entered day two with a three-shot lead over Ashby Alexander (Atlanta, GA) and never looked back, ultimately stretching his lead to a 6-shot margin of victory with a total of 183. Alexander secured solo second at 189, holding off a late push from Chris Webb (Atlanta, GA), who finished third with a two-day total of 190.
