2025 Far Oaks Highlights

Despite day one being cut short by rain, our 2-Day Major at Far Oaks still turned into a solid tournament with plenty of great golf and exciting finishes across all flights. As we share the highlights, we also want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for making the 2025 season such a memorable one. Your support, energy, and commitment are what make this tour so special, and we’re grateful to have shared another year of golf with you.

Congratulations to the winners at Far Oaks GC!

A Flight Winner - John Wooden

John Wooden put together an impressive performance at our 2-Day Major at Far Oaks. On day one, he was rolling — firing a 55 through 13 holes before play was called. He carried that momentum into Sunday, grinding out a 78 on day two to secure the victory.

What made this win stand out was how tight the leaderboard was. With only a 1-stroke margin, every shot mattered down the stretch. John’s steady play under pressure proved enough to hold off the field and take home the A Flight title.

B Flight Winner - Tyler Cardwell

Tyler Cardwell continued his strong season with a win at Far Oaks. He carded a 53 through 12 holes on Saturday, then followed it up with a solid 76 on Sunday to take home the B Flight title.

This win not only highlighted his consistent play but also solidified his spot as the 2025 B Flight Points Champion. A great weekend and a strong finish to the season!

C Flight Winner - Daniel VanMeter

This weekend’s C Flight victory carried special meaning for Daniel VanMeter, who played in honor of the Virginia High School Redbirds Golf Team following their recent loss of family members. Daniel delivered a strong performance, posting a 53 through 11 holes on Saturday and finishing with an 83 on Sunday to claim the win.

Beyond the tournament title, this victory also propelled Daniel to the top of the standings, securing the 2025 C Flight Points Championship. A heartfelt and well-deserved achievement.

D Flight Winner - Ryan Makurat

Ryan Makurat put together an impressive showing at Far Oaks to take home the D Flight title. He opened with a 46 through 10 holes on Saturday, then came back with a steady 84 on Sunday to finish the job.

Ryan’s performance gave him an 8-stroke margin of victory, and also locked him in as the 2025 D Flight Points Champion. A dominant win to cap off a successful season.
