The Tidewater Golfweek Amateur Tour returned to Sleepy Hole Golf Course today for the annual Patrick Raggiani Memorial, and what a fantastic day it was!
 
The tournament began with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start under bright blue skies and plenty of sunshine. Players were greeted with a cool morning breeze that made for ideal scoring conditions before temperatures climbed later in the day.
With 450 Tour Points on the line, competitors battled it out across all five flights, producing another day of outstanding and highly competitive golf. Every shot mattered as players chased victories, valuable points, and prize money throughout the round.
 
A special thank you goes out to the entire staff at Sleepy Hole Golf Course for presenting the course in outstanding condition. The fairways, greens, and overall playing conditions were excellent and set the stage for a memorable Patrick Raggiani Memorial. The course is in tremendous shape as it heads into the heart of the summer golf season.

TOURNAMENT FLIGHT DETAILS
CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT RECAP
The Championship Flight delivered plenty of drama at Sleepy Hole Golf Course as it took a playoff to determine the champion.
After carding a 77, Mike Hartselle finished his round in spectacular fashion, rolling in a birdie to secure a spot in a playoff. Hartselle then carried that momentum into extra holes, where he secured the Championship Flight title and another impressive victory.
 
Finishing as the runner-up was Dennis Nelson, who also posted an outstanding 77, pushing the tournament beyond regulation before coming up just short. It was a fitting finish to a fantastic day of competition at Sleepy Hole, with two of the Tidewater Tour's top players battling until the very end before Hartselle emerged victorious.
 
A FLIGHT RECAP
One of the final players to arrive before the 8:00 a.m. shotgun start, Jimmy Lewis proved that timing didn't matter once the round began. He put together a terrific performance, firing a 77 to earn a convincing three-stroke victory and collect the full 450 Tour points.
 
The battle for second place ended in a tie, with Birds Alingig and Kevin Martin each posting solid rounds of 80 to earn 250 points apiece.
With another tournament in the books, the A Flight remains one of the most competitive divisions on the Tidewater Tour. As the season heads into the home stretch, every point will be crucial in the race for Flight Player of the Year and the season-ending championships.
 
B FLIGHT RECAP
The B Flight provided one of the most exciting finishes of the day, as it took a sudden-death playoff to determine the champion at Sleepy Hole Golf Course. Jeremy Huff and Kenny Price each battled their way to outstanding rounds of 79, forcing a playoff after finishing tied at the top of the leaderboard. The two competitors headed to the picturesque 18th hole, where Huff emerged victorious to claim the B Flight title and the coveted 450 Tour points.
 
Finishing alone in third place was Paul Herrin, whose solid 82 earned valuable points in the season standings.
Just one shot back, Harry Taormina and Connor Phillips shared fourth place after each carded an 83, collecting 170 Tour points apiece.
The B Flight continues to be one of the deepest and most competitive divisions on the Tidewater Tour, with every tournament bringing new contenders to the top of the leaderboard as the race toward the season finale heats up.
 
C FLIGHT RECAP
The C Flight produced another thrilling finish at Sleepy Hole Golf Course, as Donovan Mahiai captured his first career Tidewater Tour victory with a clutch performance.
 
Mahiai fired an 85, edging the field by a single stroke to claim the C Flight championship and earn the full 450 Tour points, giving his season points race a significant boost.
 
Finishing just one shot behind in second place was Mike Hale, who carded a solid 86. Doland Miller claimed third place with an 88, while Danny Emerson, Brian McLin, and Bobby Eckel shared fourth place after each posted rounds of 89.
Congratulations to Donovan Mahiai on earning his first career Tidewater Tour victory. The C Flight continues to showcase outstanding competition each week, and with the season entering the home stretch, every point has become more valuable than ever.
 
D FLIGHT RECAP
The D Flight featured the most decisive victory of the day at Sleepy Hole Golf Course, as Richard Thomas put together an outstanding round to earn a convincing win.
Thomas fired an impressive 85, cruising to a five-stroke victory while collecting the full 450 Tour points to strengthen his position in the season standings.
 
Finishing in second place was Keith Miller, who posted a 90. Will Spittle claimed third place with a 92, while David Faggert and Chris Walker shared fourth place after each carded a 93.
With another strong showing in the D Flight, the race for season-long points continues to tighten as players look to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the 2026 Tidewater Tour season.
 
Another Outstanding Championship Weekend
Congratulations to all five flight champions from The Pat Raggiani Memorial at Sleepy Hole Golf Course! It was a fantastic day of competition, featuring outstanding golf, dramatic playoffs, and great performances across every flight on a course that was in excellent condition.
 
A big thank you to the entire staff at Sleepy Hole Golf Course for providing a first-class experience for our players. The competitive spirit was on full display, and it was another memorable stop on the Tidewater Tour schedule.
