"Can't Complete the Low Round?
"Improve Your Golf Mental Toughness"
Every golfer has heard the saying "It's all in your head" or "Golf is 90% mental" or "Golf is the most mentally demanding sport in the world." Yet what do golfers do about it? Well, most often absolutley nothing! Not necessarily because they don't want to, but sometimes golfers actually think the mental game doesn't matter to them!
Click Here to Unlock Your Mind and Shoot Better Golf
EVERY golfer can benefit from increasing their mental toughness and harnessing the full power of thier mind!
Many golfers naively get stuck into thinking that the mental game only matters for elite players or pros who make a living golfing. Nonsense! EVERY golfer needs to use their mind properly.
-
It is your mind that determines how well you learn when taking lessons. (and this training course is packed with accelerated learning techniques that will have you absorbing more from lessons)
-
It is your mind that will allow you to set up to the ball correctly and commit to your swing (or not!).
-
It is your mind that will either stay focused under pressure and get you to make a smooth, fluid stroke when you need to drain an 8 footer for the win, or have you choking like a dog and collapsing like a house of cards when the heat is on!
Click Here to Unlock Your Mind and Shoot Better Golf
"When you have a chance to shoot the lowest score of your life, you won't choke - You Will Go Low!"

Golfweek Amateur Golf Tour at Bryan Park
May 14, 2016
It was a beautiful day for golf on Saturday at the Bryan Park Players golf course in Browns Summit.
Scott Freeman of Garner took full advantage of the weather and course conditions and shot a blistering one under par 71 for his second consecutive under par round in as many weeks.
Championship Flight Winner - Scott Freeman
Stephen Pippin of Shannon knew exactly what he needed to win as he played in Freeman's group but came up one shot short with an excellent even par 72. Will Morgan finished third in theChampionship flight with a 75 and also played in the Freeman and Pippin group.
In the A flight, Justin Treadway of Browns Summit playing in his first event used his local knowledge to take home the first place honors shooting a nifty 75. One stroke behind Treadway was his playing partner Mike Crawford of Summerfield. Warren Hackler from the Down East Tour came in third by virtue of an even par 36 back nine to keep Ken Carlyle at bay and push Ken into a fourth place finish.
A Flight Winner - Justin Treadway
The B flight results show returning veteran Scott Williams of Fuquay Varina as the only member in the flight to break 80. His 79 was good enough for a slim one shot win over the charging James Woodard of Wendell. Two players shot an 81 to take the third and fourth place spots. Rob Geilhausen captured third with a nice 40 on the back nine while Nick Wilson from the Down East Tour finished in fourth.
B Flight Winner - Scott Williams
The C flight saw Tony Eaves of Durham shoot a very nice 84 on the 6400+ yard Players course. Tony played consistent golf posting a 41-43 on his way to victory. Finishing in second place three strokes back was 86 year old Luke Scesa of Pinehurst. Luke proved Saturday that golf is indeed a game for all ages with a very strong showing in his first tournament on tour. Anthony Stephenson also shot a nice round of 87, but placed third because of the scorecard tie breaker.
C Flight Winner - Tony Eaves
The D flight provided the only playoff action when Mike Charles of Piney Point, Maryland and Tony Mizzi of Kernersville fired identical 96's an had to go back out on the course to determine the winner. The drama didn't last very long when Mike dropped a putt for bogie while Tony found trouble on the first hole and couldn't match Charles's score. "Coming in first made the drive worthwhile" Mike quipped. Shane Kilby missed the playoff excitement by one shot shooting 97.
D Flight Winner - Mike Charles
The next tournament is at Whispering Woods in Pinehurst on June 18th with a 9:00 AM shotgun start.

Rules Review
It has been suggested that there should be a series of Rules scenarios for you to solve. So begins a series of problems titledWhat's the Score?
Doc Miller has graciously agreed to allow me to share these with you that he has been sending since July 2009.
I will include one each week. You should try to determine the answer based upon your knowledge of the Rules when ever possible and then use your Rule book to confirm.
There will be no trick questions or hidden information.

Question from week #353
On the par four 4th hole, Derrick lies two just left of the green. Unfortunately, he has short-sided himself as there is a fairly deep bunker between his ball and the tucked left side flag/hole.
A very delicate, precise flop is called for if he wants to get up-and-down. After three confidence building practice swings Derrick makes the shot. A little to anxious to see the result, he lifts up out of the shot and blades the ball, which goes dead under the top lip of the bunker and completely disappears from view under the sand.
Oh that’s just great! Rather than climb up the face of the steep bunker, he stands outside and on top of the bunker to look for his ball. Seeing nothing of his ball, he tells his fellow competitors he will be taking an unplayable and intends to play the ball under the stroke-and-distance option.
He uses his club to probe under the lip area of the bunker. He dislodges a ball which then rolls down the face of the bunker and comes to rest in the middle. He smooths out the area where he was probing for his ball. Walks around to the flat side of the bunker, grabs a nearby rake, walks in and retrieves the ball, then smooths out his footprints upon exit.
He returns to the spot of his previous stroke, properly drops the ball, gathers himself, and makes a pretty good shot onto the green, considering. He two putts to complete the play of the hole.
Standing on the next tee, he becomes aware the ball he completed play of the hole with was not his original ball, but had to have been a stray ball which was also buried under the lip of the bunker.
In stroke play, what is Derrick’s score for the 4th hole?
A. 7
B. 9
C. 11
D. What ever you do Derrick, don’t tee off. If he doesn’t correct playing the wrong ball, he will be DQed.
Answer
A. No penalties for moving his ball in play nor for the search method he employed as Derrick first made a declaration he intended to invoke the provisions of Rule 28, Ball Unplayable. He also announced he intended to choose option “a”, the stroke and distance option. The prohibitions of R14-3 only apply when a ball is in a hazard or when a ball, having been lifted from a hazard, may be dropped or placed in the hazard. The option announced has him dropping outside the bunker. As such, he was entitled to smooth the area where he had used his club to probe for the ball. He was also permitted to smooth the bunker after he retrieved the ball that had rolled down the face.
Neither is the smoothing of where he walked into the bunker after retrieving the ball a breach of R13-2 because he needed to enter the bunker to retrieve the ball he dislodged from the lip as this was the ball he intended for completing play of the hole; therefore, he is entitled to restore the bunker to its original condition before his next stroke.
The fact this was not his original ball is curious, but not a penalty. When proceeding under R28a the player is not required to first identify his ball as would be the case with R28 b or c. In all three cases he is permitted to substitute a ball.
Derrick’s third shot buried under the lip. His fourth was the R28 penalty stroke. Fifth onto the green and two putts for seven.
For more, see Rules 12-1a, 13-2, 13-4 and R28. Also view Decisions 13-2/29.3, 13-4/35.7 and 28/14

Tour Weather Guidelines:
Primarily, we adhere to the same guidelines that the PGA Tour uses: If the course is open, we're going to play.
The only exception to this is that I'll never put any of you in harm's way during an event because of dangerous weather. (i.e. - lightening or severe cold and wetness).
In other words, I won't let the course "bully" us into playing where an unsafe condition might exist.
Because I arrive at every event at least two hours prior to the start time and I generally have to leave my house at least an hour before that to get to the course, there is no sense calling me just before the event, because I won't be at the office. The best avenue to take is to call the course if the weather seems threatening.
If you are on the roster for the event, and you do not get a cancellation notice from the course after calling them, you are expected to show up in time for the scheduled shotgun start.
