The Golfweek Amateur Tour Family invites you to join our team as we fight for Victory Over Cancer with the V Foundation

For over a decade, the Golfweek Amateur Tour has been raising money to help fight cancer. Our team has raised over $500,000 since we started in 2009. We can't thank all of you enough for supporting the cause and donating in an effort to find a cure.

The Fight is Personal

In October of 2009, the Golfweek Amateur Tour committed to help in the fight against cancer after the Tour lost a fellow director to the disease. Roger Mitterling was not only a fellow tour director but a dear friend. As an expression of our grief, we posted a story entitled, "Golf is a great game for the small things that it does..." Read more After a tremendous response from fellow golfers sharing similar experiences, we realized how many of our Tour members' and directors' lives had been affected by cancer. We knew we had to make a difference. So, in honor of Roger, our directors, and our family of Tour members that have been touched by cancer, the Golfweek Amateur Tour came together, formed a team and collectively StandUpToCancer. Unfortunately, the battle is not over. We have lost others since we started our campaign and their memories stay with us, making us better--better as people, as directors, as a Tour, and as a family. We invite you to join us in the fight against cancer as we continue to honor Roger Mitterling, Bruce Hollenbeck, Jamy Gillan, and Phil Robinson.

The Partnership

The Golfweek Amateur Tour selected The V Foundation based upon their dedicated to saving lives and helping to find a cure for cancer. Our golfers and the many lives affected are not just impacted by one type of cancer. The Foundation seeks to make a difference by generating broad-based support for cancer research and by creating an urgent awareness among all Americans of the importance of the war against cancer. So far we have raised money through raffles, contests, and donations. Both businesses and personal donors have been generous. Whether you choose to participate in efforts through our local tours, through the online website, or at our end-of-season National Championship in Hilton Head, we appreciate your support. We invite you to join our team, invite others to join, and give all you can to help others have the chance to swing another day.
