The DC Metro Golfweek Amateur Tour closed out its 2026 season this past weekend at Penn National Golf Club in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania!
In doing so, we crowned each flight's Season Points Champions, who will enjoy bragging rights for the next 365 days!

Ben Devine — 2026 Champ Flight Season Points Winner
Season Recap: Ben delivered an outstanding 2026 campaign, combining consistency, durability, and championship-level play throughout the season. Competing in 18 tournaments and completing 25 rounds, Ben accumulated 6,515 points, recorded six tournament victories, and earned $875 in tournament prizes.
Ben’s six victories included:
- DC Metro Member-Guest Laurel Hill
- DC Metro Masters @ Twin Lakes
- DC Metro Team Stableford @ Augustine
- DC Metro Battlefield Open @ Stonewall
- DC Metro Open Championship @ Rock Harbor
- DC Metro Players Championship @ Musket Ridge
His victories at Twin Lakes and Rock Harbor were especially significant, earned him the maximum 900 major-championship points at each event.
Ben’s season featured an 82.2 scoring average, 23 birdies, one eagle, and two rounds of 74, his lowest scores of the year. He was particularly impressive during the summer stretch, posting a 75 with an eagle at The Links at Gettysburg, winning at Stonewall, capturing the two-day Rock Harbor major, and following it with another victory and a 74 at Musket Ridge.
He closed the season with another strong major performance at Penn National, shooting rounds of 82 and 78 to collect 350 points. From the opening regional tournament through the Tour Championship, Ben consistently produced results against the strongest players in the Champ Flight.
Six victories. Two major championships, 6,515 points.
Ben's 2026 season was defined by sustained excellence, timely victories, and his ability to perform when the most points were on the line.
Garrett Brown — 2026 A-Flight Season Points Winner
Season Recap: Garrett produced a championship-caliber 2026 season, combining regional, major, regular tournament victories, consistent scoring, and strong finishes throughout the year. Across 18 competitive rounds, Garrett accumulated 4,843 points, captured four tournament victories, and earned $1,645 in tournament prizes.
Garrett’s four victories included:
- The Virginia Regional
- DC Metro Masters @ Twin Lakes
- Tour Combo III - The Old Dominion Challenge @ Hanover
- DC Metro Open Championship at Rock Harbor
One of those victories was the Virginia Regional, where Garrett became the 2nd DC Metro player in history to win a regional, while two others came in two-day majors, where Garrett earned the maximum 900 points for each win.
Garrett opened the season by shooting 80–76 to win The Virginia Regional. He followed that performance with rounds of 85–78 to capture the Twin Lakes Major, giving him two wins in his first two 2026 tournaments played.
One week later, Garrett continued his early-season surge by shooting 79 and winning at Hanover Golf Club. He later added solid finishes at Augustine, Cabot Citrus Farms, and Blue Ridge Shadows before heating up again during the summer.
Garrett recorded runner-up performances at both The Links at Gettysburg and Stonewall Golf Club. His round at Gettysburg also included his only eagle of the season.
In August, Garrett secured his third major championship with rounds of 79–81 at Rock Harbor. He concluded the season with another strong finish at Musket Ridge, shooting 82.
Garrett completed the season with an 81.9 scoring average, 27 birdies, one eagle, and a season-low round of 76. His regional win and two major championships accounted for 2,700 points—more than half of his final season total.
Four victories. Three major championships. 4,843 points.
Garrett’s 2026 season was defined by success in the biggest events, remarkable early-season momentum, and consistent contention throughout the year.
Bennett Miller — 2026 B-Flight Season Points Winner
Season Recap: Bennett put together an exceptional 2026 season defined by consistency, major-championship success, and victories from the opening months through the Tour Championship. Across 18 tournaments and 25 competitive rounds, Bennett accumulated 5,594 points, captured four tournament victories, and earned $840 in tournament prizes.
Bennett’s four victories included:
- DC Metro Member-Guest @ Laurel Hill
- DC Metro Memorial at Compass Pointe
- DC Metro Battlefield Open at Stonewall
- DC Metro Tour Championship at Penn National
Two of those victories came in two-day majors, Compass Pointe and Penn National.
Bennett earned his first victory of the season at Laurel Hill, shooting 88. He followed that early breakthrough with strong finishes at Twin Lakes and Firestone before producing one of his best performances of the season at Compass Pointe. Rounds of 83–83 gave Bennett a two-day total of 166 and his first major championship of the year. That victory established him as a serious contender in the B-Flight standings.
Bennett added his third victory at Stonewall Golf Club, shooting 87. He then recorded his lowest round of the season—an impressive 79 at Rock Harbor’s Boulder Course—on his way to a runner-up finish in the two-day Open Championship.
He saved one of his biggest victories for the season finale. Bennett posted rounds of 82–85 at Penn National to capture the DC Metro Tour Championship, earning his second major title.
Bennett completed the season with an 87.6 scoring average, 18 birdies, four victories, and three top-two finishes in majors. His two major championships accounted for 1,800 points and proved instrumental in his season-long success.

Bennett’s 2026 season was defined by steady production, outstanding major performances, and a championship finish when the stakes were highest.
Milton Tyrrell — 2026 C-Flight Season Points Winner
Season Recap: Milton enjoyed a tremendous 2026 season highlighted by Tour victories, major championships, and a prestigious Regional Tournament win. Across 14 tournaments and 20 competitive rounds, Milton accumulated 5,151.67 points, recorded three Tour victories plus one Regional victory, and earned $1,240 in tournament prizes.
Milton’s winning performances included:
- DC Metro Masters @ Twin Lakes
- PGA West Regional Tournament
- DC Metro Battlefield Open at Stonewall
- DC Metro Open Championship at Rock Harbor
Milton’s PGA West victory was a Regional Tournament championship, making him the third DC Metro Player to ever win a regional. His Twin Lakes and Rock Harbor victories were his two major championships, while Stonewall was his regular DC Metro Tour victory.
Milton began the season with steady finishes at the Virginia Regional, Westfields, and Laurel Hill before breaking through at Twin Lakes. Back-to-back rounds of 88 gave him a two-day total of 176, his first victory of 2026.
His season reached another level at the PGA West Regional Tournament in California. Facing the Nicklaus Tournament Course and the legendary Stadium Course, Milton posted rounds of 84 and 96 to secure the C-Flight Regional title.
After collecting valuable points at Blue Ridge Shadows and Oak Creek, Milton returned to the winner’s circle at Stonewall Golf Club. His round of 84, tied for his lowest score of the season, his second DC Metro Tour win.
Milton then captured his second major championship at Rock Harbor. Consecutive rounds of 89 produced a two-day total of 178. He followed that championship with a runner-up finish at Musket Ridge, shooting 89.
For the year, Milton recorded a 90.9 scoring average, 11 birdies, two rounds of 84, and four total victories.
Three Tour victories. One Regional victory. 5,151.67 points.
Milton’s 2026 season was defined by championship performances at home, a signature Regional victory at PGA West, and consistent production throughout the year.
Dawn Hancock — 2026 D-W Flight Season Points Winner
Season Recap: Dawn delivered a championship season in 2026, highlighted by multiple victories, two major titles, and steady improvement throughout the year. Across 13 tournaments and 18 competitive rounds, Dawn accumulated 4,326 points, captured three tournament victories, and earned $725 in tournament prizes.
Dawn’s three victories included:
- DC Metro Masters @ Twin Lakes
- DC Metro Memorial at Compass Pointe
- DC Metro Battle on the Ridge at Blue Ridge Shadows
Dawn began the season at the Virginia Regional before building momentum at Westfields and Laurel Hill. Her breakthrough came at Twin Lakes, where rounds of 97–96 produced a two-day total of 193. The victory earned Dawn her first major championship.
After another solid performance at Mattaponi Springs, Dawn captured her second consecutive major title at Compass Pointe, posting rounds of 91–91 for a two-day total of 182.
Dawn continued her outstanding run at Blue Ridge Shadows, shooting 91 to earn her third victory of the season. Those three victories over four appearances established the defining stretch of her championship campaign.
She continued accumulating valuable points at Oak Creek, The Links at Gettysburg, Stonewall, and Musket Ridge. At Rock Harbor, Dawn posted rounds of 98–94 with another strong major finish.
Dawn saved her lowest round of the season for the DC Metro Tour Championship at Penn National. She opened with an impressive 89 at Iron Forge and followed with a 98 at Founders. Her two-day total of 187 secured a runner-up finish.
Dawn completed the season with a 98.2 scoring average, nine birdies, three victories, and four finishes worth at least 400 points. Her two major championships contributed 1,800 points toward her season total.
Three victories. Two major championships. 4,326 points.
Dawn’s 2026 season was defined by a dominant midseason run, continued improvement, and her ability to deliver some of her best golf in the Tour’s biggest events.
