Jeff Wong’s Final-Round "64" (8 under par) Headlines the 2026 Senior National Championship

 

Championship Flight: Wong’s Blistering 64 Turns Five-Shot Deficit Into Six-Shot Win

 

Jeff Wong (Charleston, SC) started the final round five shots behind first-round leader Mike Batten (North Florida), who opened with a 4-under 68. Wong erased that gap and then some, firing an 8-under 64 – seven shots better than any other second-round score in the flight – to finish at 7-under 137 and claim the national title by six.

 

Rod Baronet (Louisiana) was the only other player under par for the championship, following an opening 72 with a 71 to take solo second at 143 (-1). Phil Pfeiffer (Charleston, SC) and Scott Roberts (Charlotte, NC) each posted 74-73 to tie for third at 147, and Chad Frank (Orlando, FL) rebounded from an opening 77 with a 71 to finish fifth.
