Championship Flight

The Championship Flight produced one of the closest battles of the tournament as Jeff Wong and Dylan Mulvihill matched each other shot for shot, each firing an outstanding 3-under-par 69 to share the Championship Flight title.

Just one stroke behind, Andres Lopez finished alone in third with a 70 (-2), while Jamie Manning placed fourth after shooting 74 (+2). Jason Vega and Andrew Scarano rounded out the top five, tying for fifth at 75 (+3).

        Dylan Mulvihill – 69 (-3)
         Andres Lopez – 70 (-2)

 A Flight

Scott Edwards delivered one of the day's most impressive performances, posting a 1-over-par 73 to claim the A Flight Championship by three shots.

Scott Berkner finished second with a 76 (+4), while Russ Gamblin took third at 77 (+5). Angel Velazquez finished fourth with a 78 (+6), and Aaron Allee completed the top five at 82 (+10).

    Russ Gamblin – 77 (+5)

B Flight

B Flight featured another dramatic finish as John Robinson and Mike Mahan battled to a tie for first, each posting 82 (+10) on the demanding Robert Cupp layout.

Just two shots behind, Kirk McElveen and Bryant Arns shared third place with rounds of 84 (+12), while Stephen Holt finished fifth at 88 (+16).

C Flight

Tyler Bishop controlled C Flight from start to finish, carding an 85 (+13) to earn a convincing four-shot victory.

Rob Schoch claimed runner-up honors with an 89 (+17), while Joe Peny finished third at 95 (+23). Travis Carlisle of Charleston rounded out the field with a 102 (+30).

D Flight

Tom Wendell put together a steady round to capture the D Flight title, finishing with a 95 (+23) and a four-shot victory.

Carl Matlock secured second place with a 99 (+27), while Bill Crumrine finished third after posting 104 (+32). Aaron Masterson rounded out the standings with a 109 (+37).

Tournament Summary

The Robert Cupp Course at Palmetto Hall once again proved to be a championship-caliber test, rewarding players who stayed patient and executed quality shots throughout the day. The tournament featured two exciting ties for first in the Championship and B Flights, while Scott Edwards, Tyler Bishop, and Tom Wendell each separated themselves from the field with composed, consistent rounds to claim their respective divisions.

Josh Williams, Joe Dumoulin, Misael Moreno, Aaron Angel and Carl Matlock all win at CC of HH!

Champ Flight:

Josh Williams wins by 3 shots sealing the victory with a birdie at the par five 18th.  Andrew Scarano and Dylan Mulvihill both fire 75's to tie in second with Scarano winning the higher gift card on the card playoff.  George Lepine playing in his first Champ Flight tournament after being moved up fared well in fourth at 76 followed by Peter Grimes & Tyler Bowdish with 77.

A Flight:

Newcomer Joe Dumoulin wins by two shots with 76 followed by Angel Velazquez at 78.  Allen Bryce was solos third with 80 followed by a host of players Geovanny Lopez, Lauren Pleiman, Chris Novack and Joe Comba all at 81.

B Flight:

Miseal Moreno wins for the second time in a row and the 78 moves him now up into the "A"Flight.  Lou Vorasarno capture second one back with 79 followed by Ryan Combs and 2025 points winner JC Mora at 83.  Mike Mahan rounded out the top five spots with 85.

C Flight:

Aaron Angel grabs his first win of the new season with 84 followed by last weeks winner Dallas Higuet with 87 and Paul Simon at 88.  Ravi Manchala and Jim Siders both tied 4th at 92.

D Flight:

Carl Matlock wins back to back tournaments this time with a 96.  Joe Peny last years points winner was solo second at 101 followed by Harold Wickline 107 and Al Adams with 109.
