As a Golfweek Amateur Tour Member, you will receive membership into a -USGA compliant club through and issued an official USGA index.

Within 60 days of joining the tour and filling out the 2019 registration, each member will receive an email from USHandicap with instructions on how to sign into your account. You will not be able to access your Silver membership until you receive the confirmation email. Nothing will be mailed, everything will be done via email address.

Oakridge CC club house from the 9th hole

Enjoying Summer Golf at the Oakridge Country Club

The hot summer sun and wind welcomed players to the lovely Oakridge Country Club venue.  The well-manicured course offered beautiful landscaping, grand trees, picturesque ponds and fountains, and fast greens that rolled true.  A smaller field took advantage of this Sunday addition to the June schedule.  Eight out of fifteen players won prizes that included 1st place trophies, $340 of gift certificates, and $70 cash pools for the "Closest to the Pin" and "Skins" games.  After the round, a delicious BBQ meal was served by the club.  While enjoying the meal and the air conditioning, the players sat around talking about how well-groomed and challenging the course was, about all their awesome shots, about all their lost strokes, and about all their skins that Jason cancelled out. 

Tournament Details:

  • In the Championship Flight:  Joe Jack walked away with an 80, his fourth trophy of the season, and two closest to the pin wins. 
  • In the A Flight:  Bruce Critchley and Raul Delatorre finished the round tied at 86 with one birdie/skins win a piece.  Bruce Critchley earned the victory through a sudden death play-off win on hole 18.
  • In the B Flight:  Marty Cole was in the money with the 1st place win at 88, a skin for his birdie on number 5, and a closest to the pin win.  Gary Ingram finished with one eagle, one birdie, one skins win, and a tie with Tony Neeley for second place at 91. 
  • In the C Flight:  Scott Lieber enjoyed his home course advantage grabbing the win with an impressive 81 which included two birdies and a skins win on number 9.  Jason Tanner shot 89 to win the second place prize with three birdies and a closest to the pin win on number 15.  Mike Collins finished a close third at 90 with one birdie. 
  • In the D Flight:  Jim Murphy secured his first victory of the season with a four-stroke lead at 102.  Julia Bryer was second at 106. 
  • Skins Winners:  Gary Ingram (eagle on number one), Marty ColeBruce CritchleyRaul DelatorreScott Lieber 
  • Closest to the Pin Winners:  Joe Jack (two holes), Marty ColeJason Tanner
